I have several large clumps of siberian iris (too big). Should I dig and divide now or wait til spring? I've been putting this off, when it's spring I think I should wait til fall, then in fall, I think I should wait til spring. I'm thinking it's gonna be a lot of work and maybe I just don't want to do it at all. Thanks.
Should I divide Siberian Iris now?
I know exactly how you feel. LOL
I would divide them in the fall so they could have the fall time to get well rooted. They would probably bloom better the following spring too. Just my take on it. ;)
Fall is what I thought. Too bad I didn't do it this weekend. The weather was good, but I cleared brush instead. Maybe next weekend. Ha.
Yes fall is a good time. Be sure not to plant any deeper than they are now.
