Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - Part 12

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

alcohol abuse

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

It was disgusting beer, anyway!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh, Candyce, I DO feel your pain!! Ick Ick!!

I love Friday nights here........who needs to rent a good comedy when the writers of this show are so, so........someone help me out here....... ___________ Oh LOL!!

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

OMG - I was just going to post something and totally lost my train of thought - if there ever was one!! My neighbors across the road are screaming at each other. (Hope they kill each other!! - first I put don't in that sentence and then I changed it) I don't know if any of you remember when I said I had great neighbors - well I'm excluding this couple. For the past 2-3 months that is all they have done is disturb the peace around here and the language is horrible. Then they get in their vehicles and speed away in different directions. The rest of us are so tired of listening to it and there are young children around. They need some anger management therapy!!
Oh I know - why is beer disgusting to take care of slugs? Eleanor

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Donnie - the writers of this show are so, so, so scattelogical!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

You got that right, Eleanor!!! And chaos is right at home on this thread.......maybe that's why we are shamefully drawn to it! Tee Hee..........to quote one of the authors of the show!! LOL

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Eleanor, I'm guessing Candyce found a dish of bloated dead slugs gross. I'll stick with Escar Go

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

YUCK - that is gross! I was going to try it sometime as DD #2 left some beer in my frig. and I can't even stand the smell of the stuff so I sure won't drink it. (I rarely drink and when I do it's just a small glass of wine and one only!! ) Back to the smell of beer, I grew up on a farm and beer smells too much like corn silage - aged corn and to me it stinks and the fact that if you were in a silo containing it you would die!! Sorry all of you beer drinkers out there!! Eleanor

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Beer + Slugs = one big mess of bloated slug bodies and one HORRIBLE smell!!!
We went out and bought Sluggo

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Good. That's the same as Escar Go. It should do the trick for you.
Candyce, Your still having problems in October during a drought? That is unusual. Remind me to pick up this slug conversation over lunch today.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Slugs usually aren't that bad when it's really dry here.

Hey Dave - bring this up at lunch, have you ever gone out on your lawn after a real wet period and there are baby slugs everywhere on the grass. Even that disgusts me.

My DH now works in a lumber mill, he is a debarker. The other day in the living room I was walking across the floor and there was a BIG Slug moving slow about 3" long. I picked it up with a paper towel (kringe) and the paper towel became orange. I told my husband that we were getting invaded by slugs. He said he must of dragged it in as they were sawing beech. He said that one log was loaded. Don't matter they are gross!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Am I the only slug lover here??!!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

I hope so!

LOL - husband say's they are nothing but a big worm. Victor must like worms also?

I just posted in the antique thread. Maybe someone here can tell what this is. I am in a antique group shop. I have asked everyone and noone knows.

Come on smart people help me out.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Slugs....eeewwww ewwwww....they always make me think of the leeches that doctors would put on sick people to "bleed them" in the "olden" days......so gross!! Victor, pray tell what turns you on about these slimy slugs???

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

I think I found a new cure for Victor.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

It is so liberating with my DH away this weekend to have nothing but chocolate-covered blueberries for supper!! LOL My guests brought me some - along with some little chocolate garden spades........I'm all set!! If you don't hear from me for awhile, send in the paramedics....this may not be a good thing!! But I'll go down happy!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I like slimy things. Slugs, worms, snails, lawyers...

Politicians?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Si.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

That would be worse - I'll attach 50 lawyers to you.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Low blow, Victor!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oops - forgot! One exception.

Your computer puts out Co2. Everyone goes to sleep.

schicken - I'm glad other people get on the wrong threads also. I start to post something and I can't remember what thread I'm posting on!! Eleanor

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Me too, Eleanor.......Maybe we should request that they put the name of the thread just above the message square!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

ok, I've finished my chocolate dinner and am now going to have a solid chocolate garden spade to offset the blueberries.......

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Gotta love that USDA Chocolate Pyramid!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Antioxidant they claim.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

What isn't?

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

Slugs+beer= SUI (slime-ing under the influence of alcohol) a terminal citation.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

How fast can they possibly drive??

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)
