tussee,
Please add me to the list in your cutting folder. This is an extra, extra special one -

Thanks,

tusseemussee,

This is absolutely gorgeous. I would also love a cutting. That is gorgeous. I wonder if it would be just as gorgeous in this gulf coast heat?

Wow congats. I hope you do make a lot of money on that one. It is a true beauty.

Blessings,
Sandy ^8^

The third bloom has opened and I continue to see a good show of the 3 skirts. I also noticed a number of buds coming on, so this one will be a good bloomer. Whatever it decides to do colorwise, a consistent non-deformed triple bloom will more than please me.

OH WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Breathtaking!!

Brigham City, UT(Zone 5b)

Tussee, I am so jealous! What a beautiful bloom. But more so jealous of that solarium. I so want one. A dream of mine. Pictures please, please.

Marie, here is the latest update on the solarium. The 3 rather large skylights are in and the brick mason has begun to lay up the outside brick walls. If you can see the steel beams protruding out from the second level, they are to support the balcony which will run the length of the solarium.

Very beautiful and unusual colored flowers. I hope the variegated flowers stay that way but the form is so nice I dont think it would matter if they were a solid orangish color either. I just love the orangy doubles.

My largest NOL plant has finally made a Y after a long hot summer, and my Naughty Nick is putting out subequal leaves so it won't be long now till I get some double orange blooms here! ~Yeah

Angel, as you live in such a warm climate, you will get to see your orange blooms when they open. Around here, small blooms will not have time to open unless I bring them inside with lots of light. Be sure to send pictures when your flowers arrive as that will be a time when many of us will need to be reminded of how beautiful brug. blooms can be.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Thank you, Elva. I am feeling better everyday and following doctor's orders. A dear friend, who is a neurologist, visits every 3 or 4 days to check on me and see that I am not doing what I normally do. Lol.

Have you gotten any new brugs. lately...

Tussee

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Love the variegated color .

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

WOW Miss Tussee. I am so impressed. You have a girly girl bloom! And I am so jealous of your solarium. It is going to be incredible!!! I can't wait to see all the pictures of it when it is filled with beauty. You need a couple of parrots too flying around in there. Maybe I will send you Baby. He can't fly and is bald but he kisses great and his head still looks tropical.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Kell, I'll take your parrot anytime as a good kiss is more important that a bald head! So interesting you brought up having a couple of parrots in my new room. I have this friend in Florida who has 700 + and growing, his term, and he wants to give me a couple of juveniles he has raised. Got all excited and was searching the internet for nice cages and then SH came home. At the outset of my telling him of the new interest, his arms began to shake, his face turned red, and I thought he was having an attack. Then he said "NO. Fill your little cage with whatever; if it fits the cage buy it. And no stuffing." His exact words. Here's my victorian bird cage that I'm limited to size wise.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Rats, I hit the send button without including the cage.

I know what to do. In my younger days I would have thought of this immediately. SH loves animals and birds so I'll talk my friend into trusting me with a baby parrot, and when it needs a larger cage, SH will be the first one to point out it needs a new cage. Lol.

Here's my last photo of the triple seedling. I promise. Gardening friend Steve literally drug me outside to see the coloration this morning on the third bloom. The color is now going all the way up.

Absolutely beautiful.

Chickenville, FL(Zone 9a)

I have a couple parrots too! A yellow nape Amazon and a Severe Macaw. Ohhh how our Amazon talks up a storm and picks on the cats lol.
He calls out to them, ..."Here kitty, kitty in my or my DH's voice, and then when the cats come running up to his cage, he wickedly trys to bite them!!! You'd think they would learn lol. Our parrots really keep us laughing.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

If you think Tussee's solarium is beautiful, you should see the rest of her gardens and home. They belongs on the pages of a garden magazine.

Alvin, TX(Zone 9a)

OMG, so pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Now I'm happy she has a seedling worthy of such an awesome property!

Brigham City, UT(Zone 5b)

Ok, that solarium is just fantastic. I can't wait to see the finished product. To have that much room for plants, and such fantastic plants they are. And to have beautiful birds to share it. What a blessing. I would love to see pictures of your yard, a thread specificly of pictures you have taken of the beautiful things around you. It will give us all inspiration.
(Just bring in a bigger cage that looks like the one you have and tell your SH that you watered it). It seems everything you water grows to be beautiful.
Thanks for sharing, Marie

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Thank you, Alice. I'm pleased with it so far and so appreciate it not having deformed flowers. Too many doubles are on the market with wretched blooms, and I think I've bought them all. Lol.

Elva, dear friend, you are so right. He would be a pushover for a bird that said those words. In fact, he probably would start calling it his bird. :)

AbsoLUTEly stunning! I can but dream of such beauty! I am sooooo happy for you!
