Geez, terri, how did you generate all these posts in just one day of your return? I must be soooooooooooooooo boring to talk to. Anyway, cool baskets all around. You're neck and neck, but Yardqueen has the lead. Better use YQ's fatigue to your advantage, Terri. Good luck. The winner wins a pumpkin arrangement.

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

Well I have used up my edits!!! So try to imagine it without the squiggly lines.

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

Karma! You are not boring!!! I just wanted to have a duel of baskets...LOL But I have dial up so I have to play Free Cell or Spider Solitaire while I am waiting for my pic to post. So I get sleepy

I have not run out of baskets, but I have run out of those I photoed. Did I make a new word? "Photoed" I am way too tired to photo more. and I sure am to tired to get into Christmas stuff...

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

My back hurts from working in the greenhouse today. I am sooo ready to pay down.

london England, United Kingdom

Careful not to overdo it, I know I spend hours in the greenhouse without realising it.
What jobs were you getting on with?

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

Potting some things from trades and that I recieved at an RU. Also repotting some things that needed larger pots. I potted for several hours. It puts a lot of stress on my back. I need to take something for it. I also skipped lunch and did not stop to get a drink or anything. I have now just drank 1/2 gallon of iced tea with my supper! I know you like coffee instead of hot tea, but do you drink iced tea? It is soooo good! With some lemon or especially lime! I've got to go get another glass! If I finsh that one that will make 3 qts!!! I am so thirsty!

london England, United Kingdom

You must stop for breaks!
Iced tea? I can't say I have ever tried it, if it smells like hot tea I won't like it!
How do you make iced tea, boiling water and then let it cool down?

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

Actually I use an iced tea maker! LOL They are rather new and prior to that people brewed tea as for hot tea, only more as you usually make a pitcher of it. Lots of people add sugar while it is still hot so it will dissolve. But we quit using sugar years ago and we use sweet & low. If you are making one glass only I guess you would still make it stronger, as you will be pouring it over ice. you do have to let it cool, or you wont have any ice... LOL Squeeze a bit of lime juice into the glass, add sweetner if you are not using sugar.

london England, United Kingdom

I might try that, it sounds refreshing, thanks. tea maker ha ha! whatever next, are you mrs gadget then?
I will use sugar, not the fake substitute low whatever stuff!!

well basket case, I must wish you sweet dreams now, I'll be dreaming about your baskets and the ones to come with flower's in. nite nite!

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

Tea maker is by Mr Coffee, but it is for tea. Quite different from a coffe maker...Nite nite again!

london England, United Kingdom

a tea maker by mr coffee! now I've heard it all, only in America!!!

"just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, in the most delightful way"

Wow! that is fantastic, so neatly made. The colour combinations are great, love that raffia tie too.
The background really sets off the display, I think it's the best one you have ever made, well done and thanks so much
for making it for us. The orange ,yellow and red go so well together, it's beautiful Karma, far too pretty for halloween!!
and not a bit scary!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

Awesome, Karma!!

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

Karma,

Your pumpkin arrangement is beautiful!!! You are very talented!

Terri,

I will probably look around one more time, but I insist I will not dig into the Christmas stuff yet! I do not touch Christmas stuff till after Thanksgiving. I can only do one holiday at a time.

PerennialGirl,

Thanks for the complement on our collections! You need to show us yours!

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, yeah! Terri... did you look at the Iced tea maker? I posted a link to one!

london England, United Kingdom

Hi Yardqueen,
Yes I saw your tea maker, I didn't know they existed! Somehow (not being a tea drinker) I don't think I will be putting that on my christmas list. ha!

Isn't that nice of Karma to make an arrangement for us? It's so good aswell. Great idea of yours to start this basket case thread, and look we even have a prize!
I agree it's far to early for chrimbo stuff, jingle bells and all that.
When is thanksgiving? we don't 'do' that over here.

Karma, please would you put the pumpkin arrangement in the cafe', it would be perfect for the main entrance, thanks!
I found another wicker thingy

Thanksgiving is the last Thurs in Nov. I forget it is an American thing. I will try to look for some more baskets soon...
