I have been battleing these green caterpillers that I can't stop. They have eaten several of my lambs ear. I need help identifying them and how to stop them.
Lime green caterpiller eating my lambs ear plants.
If you want to rid your garden of these pests, try using a product called Safers Caterpillar Killer. It is a biological control containing a living culture that will kill them...(bacillus thuringensis..., or BT for short) and it works very well. You mix it with water and spray it on the plants. I prefer it to the toxic chemicals.
Since you didn't post a picture, I'll just assume it's the same caterpillar that has been feasting on my plants. I believe they're the larvae of those white cabbage moths.
Just make sure you don't spray it on the monarch butterfly larvae...which usually won't eat lambs Ears anyway, but it CAN kill them as well.
