Does anyone know how to get rid of this pest? Not my picture

I'm bringing this back up - Any information would be helpful.

I hunt and gather. IOW, I look for them and pop them off, then stomp on them. And I keep a lookout, because you never get every one of them. Which plants do you have them on?

It's on my pssion vine. That's what I've been doing along with spraying with soap and water. I even tried malathion as a last resort with no results. This scale is relentless.

Please add my HBs to fly's!

This pest won't even blink an eye (hmmm...I wonder if scale have eyes....) at soap and water. Sorry.... The crawlers can be killed with horticultural oil, and if you apply it at regular intervals, eventually all of the crawlers will be gone and there won't be any left to grow up into adults. I would pick and spray if I had a bad infestaton.

Since it's on your passion vine, and it will lose all of its leaves for the winter, I would also be very careful to keep those leaves picked up.
