white spiders on my daisys

Hi
I noticed that my daisy flowers are eaten half was through, sometimes even buds. Today I found white spiders on the plant. Then I noticed that all my plants have spiders webs on them, especially my mint plant. Does the spider eat mint/daisys?
I sprayed miracle gro-insecticide on it, will that help?

Spiders don't eat plants, but they eat the insects that do. So if you're positive they're spiders, then it's something else eating the daisies. Whether the insecticide helps or not depends on whether or not it kills whatever was actually doing the damage--not all insecticides kill all types of insects, and sometimes it'll only kill things if they're on the plant when you spray them. Or it could have been something else like snails eating the plants and insecticides won't do much to them. Hopefully it got whatever was eating the plants because it probably got rid of the spiders, so now you won't have help!

I can still see 2-3 spiders on the plants-and now that i know they are helping me, I will not destroy them!! I will inspect the Daisy flowers to find worms or caterpillars. thanks for you help ecrane.
