Wonderful Gail... Glad you enjoyed it...

Wow Gail you really did hit the motherload at that meeting...psst..please remember me when spin art has leaves to share? hee hee I know...I am such a beggar!
Nancy
Wow! Gail ..... That is really something! The local AV club here in my town is very small, only about 6-8 people if they all show up! Usually someone has baby plants to give away at the meetings, but it's only AV's ... no one seems to be interested in other Gessie's!!
I didn't have my camera with me.............darn it!!!!!!!!!! I just took a look at her streps and begged............(LOL).............she was delighted to share with me..............I need to take leaves to the next meeting..........people were handing out leaves left and right.............
This lady is a national and state judge at the shows............She is going to be judging in Austin on Oct. 13th.........and told me that the very best growers of the "other gesneriads" live in Austin and I would see things I had never even seen.............
So, I am definitely going to Austin on Oct. 13th and buy buy buy..............may not have any money left for the state convention but I can't miss the Austin one..............Austin is a big city and lots of talent in the AV field................
Gail,That just sounds so exciting. You will have to make sure and remember to update us after you go to Austin in October : ))
Gail: When are you getting your Greenhouse?
:)
I don't want a greenhouse anymore..........to be comfortable it would costs waaay too much.........i worked in good greenhouses when I was much younger and there were days I thought I was going to pass out......................they are much too hot down here and pads and water don't do any good where you have high humidity................
I enjoy my own very cool house (LOL))
OMG! OMG! OMG!!!
Gail... You got a leaf of 'Spin Art'????????
Ooohhhhh... I have coveted that one since Amy first showed it to me!!!
I know it takes time to get babies from a leaf, but please, please, PLEASE keep me in mind for a trade in the future, for one of those babies!!!
You can't find that one anywhere on-line or with the regular sellers yet!
Karen
She got it at the National AV convention in Denver. Colorado................
Yep... that figures. The one and only seller on eBay I contacted, asking her if she would have it soon, stated she got hers at the Nat'l Convention, and it wasn't big enough to propogate yet.
So I am still waiting... it'll show up eventually.
Has anyone got the Crystal Lake one yet?
Hey, I had to have a lot of help with the Mule clue! I think I figured out the Crystal Lake one but I wouldn't bet on it!
Hmm, found this link while googling...

Looks like a good time was had by all!
Good job on that research critter! Perfect clue! Although your first one from above had helped me out right away. Maybe because my girls like to participate in these...
VA Rose I knew we'd hear from you when I saw that Gail had gotten her hot little hands on Spin Art! ;)) Amazing isn't it, someday they'll be all over the place but at first it's painful to wait! My Sreaker babies and Space Dust babies are growing nicely, you'll have to make do with those soon until Spin Art gets going.
I still haven't seen my own Streaker bloom (it suffered while I was on vacation) but the babies from the leaf I put down are coming right along. Here's a link to the picture of the flower I'm dying to see in my own house someday!

Just popping in and saying Hi this morning, I need to get to my desk full of work...
~Brenda
Oh yeah, Brenda... that one is very nice also!
LOL about my commenting on her getting a 'Spin Art'! I know Amy will fall on the flor when she sees the comments... she is the one that started me wanting 'Spin Art'!
Karen
I think you hit on something there, critter. Thanks for the links. I just didn't equate taking a walk to be similar to running or racing. That's what threw me. Next time I take a walk, should I call it a Fun Run?
Very happy for you, Gail, and all the good times in the violet club.
Snowrose and critter you are both so far off you may freeze to death.
Diane, are you saying it is NOT "FUN RUN" ???????????
Well, if it's not, I have it wrong too.
You mean to tell me fun run is not it??well if it isn't the only other thing that comes to mind is the movie.Friday the 13th that was set at a crystal lake and the main charachter was... someone on the list..OK I know I am really reaching here..lol..but it fits the clue!!
Oh dear, then I'm frozen too!! Makshi maybe you better get in on this clue giving and discussion!! :))))
Really should be working...the pitfalls of working from home....nobody looking over your shoulder if you play instead! LOL
~Brenda
I don't see Freddy Cruger on the list cedarnest???? LOL
~Brenda
I BET that is it!!! it is number 13 too...lol I hope that is it...I HAVE that one!!! NANCY you are a genious!!!

Not Freddy Cruger Brenda..you are thinking of the wrong movie
LOL..can't keep those SLASHER movies straight.. ewwww, I do NOT like those movies myself! Too gory!
***%%%####!!!!???? I thought Fun Run had been called too!
LOL..there is no way my guess can be right with that clue..or is there a chance??..LOL
I'm with you JanetS, I've never seen one of those movies either but when I think scary movie I think Freddy......
I think Makshi is the genius here! How her mind must work if that clue was leading us to number 13!! I'm way too slow!
~Brenda
I think it IS...lol...it is number 13 on the list and if the Crystal Lake thing is there...lol okay Makshi...give it up....lol
Plus the term RUN!!!!! Think about it...a lot of RUNNING from him too!
Jason, I remember something creepy about a Jason too.....I think you've got it this time cedarnest!! Amazing!
~Brenda
Thats who I usually think of too Brenda.I haven't watched one of them in ages.. but when my kids were in high school..they watched all of them with their friends on Halloween.

Thanks Janet!! That pretty much says it all..LOL..
Edited to add: We better not get to excited yet about 13 being the correct answer...lol....I for one was absolutely certain that fun run was it because the clue matched it perfectly too..although that one wasn't on my card.

Aha...I get it now thanks to the discussion. Pop culture isn't my best...
You are tooo tricky there, makshi!

I miss pop culture questions all the time! I got thrown off by Makshi's comment about "you'd better run!" that everyone kept referring to. Ah, well!
Believe it or not, I've missed all 11 in the series... but this Wikipedia plot synopsis left me all bemused... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_the_13th_(film_series)
Try this one Critter..

Janet you are right. In the movie girls run and fall and the monster gets them. It happen all to often.

Other than having to use white-out on my card, it worked out to my benefit anyway...
thanks ladies!

LOL, Cedar! To think what I've been missing...
Here's my favorite bit from the "Jason in NYC" summary:
"Soon, the sewers are washed out with toxic waste, in which the unfortunate Jason Voorhees becomes submerged. The two surviving kids crawl out from the sewers and reunite with their dog as they enjoy their vacation in Manhattan."
I'm so glad to hear the dog enjoyed the rest of his vacation!
