Beautiful A, as always!!! Love the Fuji Shibori and Ron's blue...Your Roman candy inspired me to start mine for winter blooms inside, I like it..

My reverse tube doesnt look like it's going to seed, I think I will try it iside I saved a few seeds.

Here is one from a mix...Pleasantly pleased!!

Antoinette,
Wow, what a line-up.
Your Aogakiyama is SO PRETTY.
I think your Pearly Gates is the best photo I've seen.
Reminds me to ask myself why I don't plant I. tricolors each year.

I like your Willow Leaf Blue Asagao. NICE!

Very Pretty Pink Feathered Bloom too. You might want to watch your blooms to see if they all produce the doubled feathers. I have noticed on mine, some blooms seem to be more 'feathered' than others. Also, I will often get a 'Split-Petal' Bloom.

You outdid yourself again. . .

Ron

Regarding the Joyce Cobb aquamarine color....I don't know how to answer your question! I grew several Joyce Cobb seeds in one spot in the vegetable garden and it is one large tangled mess. I used tomato cages and they have toppled over. There is no distinguishing the vines....I am getting pink/purple/aqua and white versions of Joyce Cobb with no way to differentiate them from one another. I've learned a lesson with this one in that its a very vigorous grower and will need more substantial support next time. I've managed to find a few ripe seeds in the tangled mess, but have no way of knowing from which color they came from---

(Judith) Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I had labeled this one as Joyce Cobb. Am I wrong??

Ronnie, these should give you lots of blooms and seeds.
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3951355.

Gourd, yours is nice too and I bet it`s blooming like crazy too.
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3956853

This is a white one and I also have them growing in fusha, pink, and blue. They produced both feathered and solid flowers. Nice stuff guys.

Ronnie,
This one is very interesting. Keep an eye on it!

Mine has 4 different kinds of flowers. Some are very light, some are darker and have more blue or more purple.

Does this one look like Joyce Cobb? If so, should I tag those?

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Karen -
on this one
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3964159

NO . . .

BUT DEFINITELY TAG THAT BABY !

I have the same one growing and it is 'from' Joyce Cobb.
Some kind of dilute.
I need to look up the exact words that Ron used to describe it,
unless he beats me to it and re-explains it.
I'm headed back outside to get MORE seeds before dark.

TAG ANY OF THESE THAT YOU SEE and grow them separately.
Hand polinate them KISS THEM and do what ever you can do to get this one going separately.
Mine are pretty much in a tangled mess on my back 40 and I'm not doing much with mine - and only have a few tagged.

Also, see if you can get a cutting of this one to root.
THEN, plant it and see what happens.

Emma

Baton Rouge area, LA(Zone 8b)

Emma, This plant has me so confused now. :)

Actually, I think there are at least 3 vines in that spot and they are a tangled mess...that may be why it is so varied.

I will take more pictures tomorrow to show what I mean. And I have some tags ready to go...

Emma - This one was listed as Gray Plum Smoke. Is that correct or is this something else?

Becky. . .

This Gray
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3964694
looks to me more like the Gray Morning Mist - Which tells me it must have the same genes ???
When I grew this one last year some of the blooms were a Lighter Pale Plum Color and Some were Gray. Both on the SAME VINE, but the Bloom didn't resemble Gray MM.
The Color of your Bloom looks to be a lighter Gray.

The Gray Morning Mist that has remained True for several years is a sport of my Henka-Blue Type, and The Gray Haze came from seeds that I grew from Gail 'golgi' that ended up to be Gray and not what she had originally grown.

If your blooms remain consistant, I will assume you have Gray Morning Mist because of the details of the bloom, but if it starts throwing Plum colors, then maybe Ron can share his knowledge as to why we would get two entirely different colored blooms on the same vine.

This is the second year for these to be grown out, so I don't have the answers yet. On the one vine that I am growing, the blooms to me look like Gray Morning Mist also. I will post the only photo that I have gotten from the vine that I am growing because it is growing at one of the city facilities, and I don't get there as often as I would like for photos, so I can't make any good comparisons.

This is SO PRETTY!
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3964710

Judith . . .
I still think you bloom is 'Rebecca'. The coloration in the center is lighter than most of the blooms. Ron may be able to tell us more about your bloom.

Karen . . .
My vines too are a tangled mess. I tried to pull out a few from this particular vine just so I could get some seeds separately. This one is growing with other purpureas, and I'm not about to try to untangle that mess.

Let me look up the photo of my bloom and see if I can find Ron's explanation of this bloom. If I can't we may have to beg him to repeat it.

Emma

Karen,
Ok, here is Ron's description of my bloom that looks similiar to yours here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3964159

"I think this is an extreme dilution of 'Joyce Cobb'
Dilute out of the flaked strain shown here"
http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/ByndeweedBeth_1187626876_437.jpg

Now, I need to go through my images to find a couple of my photos.
I don't remember that mine had as much coloration in the throat as your bloom.
But, will post those when I can locate them.
I REALLY Like yours.

Emma

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Here is one of my Blooms that I already had posted.
Now, I will look for other blooms to see if I am getting any other variations than this one

Emma, you got some beauties... never in a million years would I have expected so many different varieties this year alone.

Here is Hanahubuki today, can you believe it.. she's beautiful..

Thank you Antoinette . . .

Really nice Hanahubuki. REALLY NICE!
The thing is that I haven't posted but a very few of all that I'm growing.

Came across this one just because it was so unusual.
This is actually a bloom on my Hige vines, except that it has a very definite Red Streak in it.

Ok, these are the only photos I could find since I didn't take but a few of the
extreme dilution of 'Joyce Cobb'

One More that has a bit more color, but the photo is blurry

I'll need to take more photos and see what they are doing now.

Nice bloom photos from everyone! Love seeing them everyday posted here! :-)

Emma - Should I wait to see what the other blooms on the Gray Morning Mist look like before I change the current label Gray Plum Smoke? The color is a very light, but distinct gray. You say they might start blooming with more pale plum color?

Here is another new one that just bloomed. It is labeled Mt. Fuji Blue. Very pretty!

Thumbnail by beckygardener
Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Becky . . .
Yes, lets see what the other blooms do. Plus, I want to look up some of my photos that I had last year that I can post to compare.

Pretty Bloom. Your Mt. Fuji Blue is called Fuji no Sora.
Emma
