And finally got a feathered today, looks like a really dark Pink Feathered, but looks lighter in the photo.
Morning Glories 2007 # 24
Antoinette,
Great Feathered Pink.
NICE COLOR. . .
Don't you just love those Split Personality blooms.
I'm surprised they are not any more popular than they are.
Emma
Hi Emma,
Yeah, I'm very surprised too.. this is the first time they bloom for me, even in CA they didn't split, so I was disappointed at first.
And the feathered, well, the wind took care of those several times, I resowed them about three times.. I've got a couple of others but don't know if they will bloom before winter sets in. Next year I've got a better idea of what to do here in NM for the MGs. This year was a "fly by the seat of my plants (pants)" kinda thing..lol.
I love that Lavender Chiffon and your Higes too..
Ronnie you got some nice flowers there..
Sandy,,, woooohooo, that one is really nice.
Emma and anyone else growing some Tie Dyes.. I have a Bluish Tie Dye with Large Chartruse varigated leaves, the kicker is this, the seeds are tan. Does anyone know what it is.. I'll try to find a photo of it.. right now it isn't blooming and I just assumed that it was a tie dye.. it came from a Komeri seed that said Special JMG, and each flower from each seed is different.
Thanks for any information.
A.
Emma,
Here is a picture showing pretty typical leaves from Dai. http://davesgarden.com/community/journals/si/124730/
Here is one from a more mature plant, even though this particular flower is not reversed tube. http://davesgarden.com/community/journals/si/129909/
You can see most of my reference photos for Dai this year here: http://davesgarden.com/community/journals/viewentry/125926/
The leaves of Dai are solid dark green, circular (cordate) and show the wrinkling caused by the crepe gene.

Are the leaves light green?

Thanks Antoinette . . .
I'll be sure to send you those seeds this year. I do have a few other Higes going and hope to see blooms this year.
Oh Wow, Your Bluish Tie Dye with Large Chartruse varigated leaves sounds very interesting. I have no clue, but maybe Ron or someone else would have a suggestion. I haven't grown that many JMG's yet, I have gobs of seeds - just haven't grown them out yet, so I'm not sure about the lighter seed colors. Maybe a possibility would be the Sazanami Light Form ??? I think those have light seeds. BUT, coming from Japan, it could be anything.
Thanks Becky . . .
The Solid Purple-Flaked Shibori Blooms really are nice.
Arlan,
Thanks VERY MUCH for the information on the Dai JMG.
And I TOTALLY agree with you on your favorite MG choices.
And, I am proud they are some of my creations.
No clue what Judith has, and can't wait to see more of Ronnie's TEMPEST Blooms. They will all be Killer Blooms.
Thanks again,
Emma
Emma...Maisugata is one word. But I don't think your photo is it.
Look here....

They are keepers!! As is all of them!
Sandy . . .
What a parade.
Holy Smokes - I give up
Which one is this one from me?
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3953832
I sure hope ALL of the blooms are producing the same pattern and colors because it is TRULY INCREDIBLE.
I would have guessed it came from President Bush, but the Variegated leaves are throwing me.
Please tell me *-*
Emma
Very Pretty Bloom, Ronnie =
I do like those blooms.
Emma
Ronnie,
OMG!
* * * * * I LOVE YOUR GRAY CHACHA * * * * *

This one looks like something from my Plum Frost sports
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3955170
Did you by chance grow BLUE FUJI FROST this year?
Emma
Pam:Your lavender silk is pretty!
thanks emma and karla
its been so hot and windy here and we have a wildfire burning near here.. i hope we dont have to evacuate at the farm
i believe the lavendar silk is a dilute form of blue silk ?
it does fade to pink at the end of the day
emma..have you grown out your pink silk?
pamsue
Beautiful blooms Ronnie and Sandy.
Pam, lovely Lavendar Silk. My
Blue turns this color at days end.
Thanks for the compliments all!!
Emma, thanks for the Fuji no Sora ID.
The one that looks like plum frost is from MGJ-'Akatsuki no Yume' here is a clearer picture and this one looks like a plum frost too.. I like it!!
If the Chacha throws any more gray I will tag it for you..if it seeds, I can bring it in though...
Everyone keeps cranking out photos of all your lovelies! Just when I think I couldn't see another one that is prettier and more unique .... you post more photos and I am in awe! Love them all!!! Keep em coming!! :-)
They are so unique.. I can't believe there are sooooo many different ones. Once you see them, you want them all, you don't care what it takes.. today, I made DH stop the truck and I ran into this field where I thought I spotted one, and guess what, I pulled out three plants and put them to soak in superthrive for Ron's ID, I think it is a hederacea but it sure had a very dark color.
Here is Emma's Gray Morning Mist today..
