Emma - Yes,I count 8 primary rib folds and the bloom also has white rays extending up along the secondary folds so that equals 16 fold rays altogether...

Karla, GREAT BLOOMS

Ronnie,
I'm not certain about your Gray Smoke but it very well could be.
I never grew that one out the second time yet.
It definitely does not look like my others Grays because your Bloom has some nice Darker Ribs.
I love it. Can I PLEASE have seeds if you get enough to share.

Here is one of my Gray Shibori Blooms today. I have three different vines.

Karla,
Your bloom looks like Hatsu Arashi to me.
HA does NOT have variegated leaves.

L@@K AT THIS MUTATION

This is from the Rosita NOTS that I grew last year that we decided are in fact Youjiro Yagaruma. . . .

This particular vine threw a YOUJIRO SHIBORI

Last year these were growing right next to my China Doll. Maybe they crossed?

This Bloom has some Blizzard streaks and is on the SAME VINE as the Youjiro Shibori

Thumbnail by EmmaGrace
Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

This Youjiro is an entirely separate vine that is producing some VERY nice Booms. These all seem to be consistent

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

More Blooms Same vine as last posted

Thumbnail by EmmaGrace
Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

And Another different vine from seed pod that I tagged and it grew back True.
This is one that had the Brushed-Frosted Streaking

Other Blooms have had a heavier Brushed Streak, but I can't find them at the moment

And, then there is the 'Almost' Normal Yagaruma

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Emma, I sure will save some seeds. I see lots of buds and it's in a pot so I can drag it in...

Love the Gray Shibori

Karla I like that Gray morning mist of yours!!

Thanks for all the compliments Jackie!! ☺

Netcong, NJ(Zone 5b)

Emma - Yes,it certainly looks like some of the Yaguruma picked up a blizzard gene...

This one here looks like it has a small 'flap' almost covering the tube...
http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/EmmaGrace_1188587264_639.jpg
perhaps the beginnings of a reverse tube...

Thanks Ron,

I will start paying more attention to this group that I have been neglecting to even look at for the most part because of where I have them planted.
They really are pretty blooms too.

And honestly ..... your Gray Shibori and Ronnie's Plum Smoke
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3922512
are just amazing MGs in an unexpected color that I would never guess could look so good! WOW!

Karla - I absolutely LOVE your Chocolate Silk!
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=3922475
What a vibrant color!

I like your Gray Morning Mist, too, Karla! Nice!!! :-)

Ron . . .

Holly emailed me tonight for an ID on her Hige
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/766620/
and I see you have already explained it to her.

Thanks Jackie,
Yes, I agree that that Youjiro does have a 'Frosted' look.
Some of the Blooms have even more of a 'Frosted' edge than others.
Stranger things have happened in Jacksonville, Texas . . . lol

Thanks Becky,
Aren't those Blue Silks Knock-Outs!
Yes, Ronnie's Gray is GRAND!
I really do like her Bloom.

Ooooh! Nice SS, Joanne! How big are the leaves on yours?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Thanks Becky. The leaves on the ss are about 3 to 3.25" at the widest point. The flowers themselves aren't very big either.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Beautiful shots Joanne!!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Great blooms Joanne, Love the SS.
