Looks like Plumbago
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/414/
Thankyou so much ecrane3. I checked out the plantfiles and pictures. I wonder how long it takes to get as big and as full as some of the photos. Thanks again.
Plumbago is a fast grower with warmth. If you get temperatures below 35, it will need some shelter, so it doesn't die. I love Plumbago. I had a huge bush once, and I had to trim it , because it was going crazy. That was in southern california, and my temperatures did not get below 35.
Mine is also huge; I'm going to have to trim it back before it knocks the fence down!
Hi Drapelady, I have one also, however, I have to grow mine indoors as we are far too cold in UK, however to get mine to bush out, after flowering season ends, I just kept pruning every branch to encourage it to send out some new shoots, at flowering time you cant prune it so hard as all the flowers come at the tips of the branch and you'd cut these flowering tips off, also I find it needed some feeding early spring onwards to get it into flowering mode for the first few years, but the flowers are lovely, good luck, WeeNel.
