Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have a plain white t-shirt which serves as the official Test Forum shirt.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

or Alaska forum.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

LOL This is way too funny. Never thought this would start a trend. Ha! I love the whole thing, how fun! Got an email my shirts were shipped today, 5-7 days to arrive, can't wait.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, got my email too. I want a cut from Zazzle!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I looked in on the Tropical t-shirt thread. They even said 'why can't we have several designs like the other forum did?'

Yeah, I think Victor and Eleanor should get royalties from the other forums for stealing their ideas and esp if they use the same phrase.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Al - coupt? :)>

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It's is as Victor say's....a form of flattery. I almost wanted to jump in and help them with a saying. Some of them were copying or just lame. One finally put something catchy up about from "Sea to sea DG is for me." or something like that. Cali forum needs help bad! LOL Maybe we should be gracious and offer a few words??

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I was thinking of that too but felt it I would be intruding. They seemed to be struggling when I looked.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Ordered my t-shirt yesterday :-) Aren't we the cooolest . . . always the leaders. . . .

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

oh!!!!!!!!!!! the nerve of this people to copy us... well then again we were the FIRST and the LEADERS.... I guess is actually cool... just imagine the power of OUR forum... wow... marketing wise is really great.... maybe Zazzle should know about that!!!!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

For the California gardeners:

It's our fault.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very good Pirl!! There should be something about gardening in a perfect place - it's no challenge! (Except for the constant drought in some parts). Also should reference their 'reputed' flakiness.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

I feel like going to that thread and letting them know how happy I am they are copying us... well, then again it may not be a good idea...

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Victor - I'd never ever label CA as the ideal place to garden. Some have way too much heat, a lot of it is desert, not cold enough to grow hosta well, mudslides, earthquakes, rainy seasons, dry seasons: not for me. Some areas never get to see the sunset because of the mountains: definitely not for me.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Ok...confession time.... I d-mailed one person on the Cali. forum with a few lines to help them out. I think it's great they and other forums like our idea and DG is all about helping and sharing with other gardener's, so I helped & shared. You can Tar & Feather me when your ready.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

If anything, they're the ones who might possibly get upset by it, not us!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Not at all, she was very grateful and see's it like me.....thats what we are here to do, help and share. She asked permission to share the ones I sent her, i had no problem with it. She kept my name out of it as she didn't want me to get into hot water w/the N.E. forum.
But I have am not one to lie about what i did so i fessed up here first! LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Okay then - let's hear them!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have one. 'The CA Gardening Forum - where the right brain meets the left coast.'

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Or 'When I'm not surfing the Pacific, I'm surfing the CA Forum'.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Why would any of us be upset pixie? We in the North East understand we have an obligation to help others in need of our insight, creativity, and genius :-)

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

California Gardens...where after 6.8 means digging on a whole new level. :) or Cal. gardeners: shaken but not stirred. :)

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

ngram - I like your 2nd one!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

oh aren't we good people!!!! thanks Celeste for being there for them!!!!

Pirl, you are right... so far I have not seen anyone describe their place as perfect... well, Zuzu has the best rose garden in tems of soil etc...and she likes the heat but it would be too much for me... I love where I am... and honestly I need a break... so does my checking account!!!!

after a good shaking their soil gets aerated... so they continue to plant!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

If you are willing to help go to the link and and post a few of your thoughts. I do think tho, that the earthquake one's might not be so funny to those who have lived thru it and possibly lost something or someone. In that respect I count my blessing's that I live in N.E. and they are far, few and minor!

Here was one of my idea's for them.

I messed up the '.com' part, but like I said earlier.....this humidity is messing with my brain.

What a neat bunch of 'untrupanoors'. All this from an injection of desultory serum. Is this what they mean when they say a Nor'easters blowing in ? Some pretty cool shirts, and thats coming from a Nor'wester.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks bal. As for ideas, I think people tend to think about CA gardening as the subject when it's the CA Forum.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

OK wise guy...I was just showing them an idea of what they could do. I also gave them these if you'd like to pick them apart too! LOL

1. California Dreamer's go to Dave's Garden on a Winter's day.
2. No Bridge wide enough to keep me from Dave's Garden. (picture of San F. Bridge or one in your area)
3. Bridge The Gap @ Dave's Garden (another bridge picture)
4. California Gardener's plant them selfs @ Dave's Garden
5. Beach yourself @ Dave's Garden
6. Californians are a tropical colorful bunch!
7. California grows great gardener's @ Dave's Garden
8. California grow's the best gardeners @ Dave's garden

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I wasn't referring to yours Celeste! Yours did refer to DG and the forum.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

sorry......hanging head to hide blushed cheeks for jumping the gun and assuming. But I still took it well even if it wasn't directed at me.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No problem! I like some of yours. Does anyone ever spend time on that Forum? Is there a favorite group of plants? Also - same question I posed for us - what would you picture if someone said CA gardening or nature? I think of Bouganvillea or Cactus!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hibiscus, brugs

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I wonder if there is a way to see how many shirts have been sold so far.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

You came up with some really good ones Pix. Here's one for them: If I'm not in the garden I'm not hanging ten, I'm hangin' at DG forum. You are right about the earthquake ones, they can make fun of it but not outsiders. Its like us wearing Ts that said we survived the blizzard. No way would I want to live out there with the quakes, no warning at least when a hurricane or blizzard is on the way we get a heads up now. Tornados in the middle of the country are the same thing. Not much warning although they are getting better at warning for the possibility of one.

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Well, Pixie told me you guys were brainstorming for us, so I thought I'd come by and say thanks. You came up with a great idea. Just a couple of questions - why does everyone think Californians live at the beach and Kassia, how could you? We welcomed you with open arms and this is how you show your love? Just kidding! I'm having a little trouble getting enthusiasm over there, but Tropical is doing better.

Kathleen
P.S. You didn't take "dude" seriously, did you? Nobody talks like that here. lol

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I like ngam's "shaken not stirred" very much and love pixie's photo.
