North Texas RoundUp - Trade page 2

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I'd take some obedient plant too if you have more Pat. Mine didn't do too well this year, not sure why except in a bad spot.

:) Kim

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Oh yea....I've got tons of little coral nymph salvia seedlings if anyone is interested. It's coming up all over.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, is that what does it? You know, I have thousands of coneflower seedlings this year, and that's a great host for the swallowtails too. Between the two, that must be why I have so many of them around.

The ash trees are really lovely trees. Beautiful shape and very pretty yellow in the fall. I just love mine. They were given out as foot-high saplings by my city about 18-19 years ago when we recycled our Christmas tree. I never dreamed that those two little sticks would grow up to be so nice to have.

The downside is that they do get anthracnose, which disfigures a branch or two. Doesn't seem to hurt them, though. This year they've also been favorite hosts to those awful webworms that are everywhere. But then even my red oak got some of those.

Anyway, I will try the cuttings and we'll see what happens. :) I'll look at your trade list tomorrow when I have more time.

Kim, adding you for the yellow columbine.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephine, I have you down for obedient plant, mealy cup sage, and liatris.

Kim, I have your name on some obedient plant, and I'd love to have a few of your coral nymph seedlings.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you Pat.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephine, I found a couple of Ash seedlings in a flower bed this weekend. I will try to keep an eye on them or pot them up later before they loose leaves.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

All right!!! Thank you very much Sheila.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

TARogers, I have the pink dwarf ruellia. I am not sure I want to dig it up to divide, but if there is another way to propagate, I'll give it a try.(also will see if Mamajack can find one)

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

the old house place is so grown up i couldn't find a thing. also, someone else has been down there with what looks like a back hoe digging up crape myrtles. i already have the tall white ruellia in my own yard so no problem getting that one.

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

I dont need the pink now. found some blooming out from under the white one. Thanks

BLUE EYES................if you still have the confederate rose i think i want it. is it the double one? and i have some 3 gal. pots. are those big enough?

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

mamajack....not sure on the confederate rose, I grew it from some seeds from a trade. I don't think it was specified which kind it was. 3 gal pots would be great.

Pat....is it possible to get some of that transylvanian salvia? That looks gorgeous.

Thanks, Kim

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll put you down for a couple, Kim, as your mom might like one too. It makes a nice clump quickly.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephine, I am adding you to my list for yellow columbine. Assuming it transplants.

May I please have one of your Argentine Skys? Or, if you don't have enough of those, I'd love to try growing frogfruit.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

our texas gold yellow columbine transplants very well for me. cut the foliage and keep it wet for a while.

PATROB..........i want a transylvanian salvia too. what are you looking for?

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

mamajack, I'll put you down for one. I'll find something on your list later on, and I have more to add to mine too when I get some daylilies and irises dug.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks so much! I am looking forward to hearing what daylilies and irises you will have. I should be digging mine up soon too.

Dennis, can I have a Mexican Buckeye and a few pots of any size, please?

Magnolia, TX(Zone 8b)

I can get all you want fr my BurgerKing. They have had pickles in them & need to be aired out but are almost brand new & lids are available.
Kim, if you want some of these, I'll bring them to CSRU, so you don't have to take up your room for Arlington.

Ted, I can bring you some trays but they are only trays. They have 'plaided' bottoms to them so that water will drain.
We don't grow 3" & 4" so I don't have the blown tray that those fit. We grow fr liners or plugs strait into 1gs here on the Farm.
Got you down for 5g buckets. How many do you need?
How are you doing on vermiculite?
LMK
Just had a friend come by & we got to talking about trees. He has 100's of Golden Rain trees that are available for the digging. Anyone interested? If so, I will go dig some in the next couple of wks. They are across town so I will do it on a wkend.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I also have some chinese wisterias I can dig up if anyone dares. Dad tore out the big one but there are volunteers coming up all over.

Fort Worth, TX

does anyone have any shade plants? preferably perenials?

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I do, Frostweed and Turk's Cap, both of them excellent natives. How many would you like?
Josephine.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

i want a mexican buckeye and a golden rain tree or even 2 of those smockette.

does anyone want a no i.d. vitex seedling? has blue flowers although i think there is one out there with pink flowers. i am betting this is the blue variety though. mine is the shrub type.

anyone for catalpa tree seedlings?

anyone for crossvine?

i know i am not doing this right but i have yet to sit down and come up with a "formal" list.

anyone want canna musifolia? i have a couple i could bring.

anyone want omega canna? i have a couple of these.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I'd like some crossvine and a canna musifolia please.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

got you down blue eyes.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Mamajack, I would love crossvine.

Kim, if you need shade plants, you might want to try toad lilies. They bloom in the fall when nothing else is blooming and require almost no care. I'd send you a photo of mine, but they're kind of ratty this time of year. Check out tricyrtis hirta in the plant files. They are very easy to root, so if you like them, I'll be glad to bring you some along with Siggy's.

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Broncbuster and mamajack, I will save buckeyes for you. I think thar Mitch had also expressed interest, so they are all accounted for.

Blue_eyes and Broncbuster, I will throw all of my pots in the trunk and everyone can take whatever they want.

Frostweed, I would like one or two of your namesake plants, if you have any unaccounted for.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Smockette, I'd love to have a couple of golden rain trees.

mamajack, please put me down for a vitex seedling, blue is fine, and an omega canna.

Thank you!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes I do Dennis, I will reserve 2 for you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anna, I did find a desert BOP for you will add it to my list.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bronchbuster, you get my other Mountain Laurel.

Josephine.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

dfwdennis,
Since you don't have plants, how about Buckeye Seeds?

Mamajack,
Look where I have added your link at the top of this thread. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=3897447 It would be easy to edit your post there into a list, you have a good start. If you make a list somewhere else, I can always change the link.

Linda, I would love to have a Rain Tree if you have time to dig one.
Big Thanks!

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

My tree is not large enough to produce seed yet, but I can check the tree at our llocal botanical garden before the swap. That is where I got the seeds that I grew my seedlings from.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Don't make a special trip though. I bet FW Bot Gdns has one I could get seeds from.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Frostweed, did you mean desert willow? I am confused!

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

BluesMaven, how much shade do you have?Rainlilies, strawberry geranium , bog sage and oxalis all grow in deep shade.Zexmenia needs some sun and it will bloom all summer.
