Eyeballs

Control + mouse wheel, I forgot that one! So many things to remember.

Marie - I don't have a "page" in my tool bar, but this ctrl/mouse wheel trick is way cool!

Isn't the OT trip sort of ingrained in all DGer's? Or is that just on the threads that I seem to be on....oops!

Ok, and now that we have all these wonderful tips here, go to the tiny folder at the top right side and save this for future reference. You'll look at it one day, see the 'eyeballs' subject header and wonder what the heck could you possibly have wanted to save this for?! :-)

LOL It's amazing to me ... I'm using a speech software and none of this is obvious to me. :) It's amazing what I learn when I read all these threads. :)

The whole eyeball thing was solved almost from the start anyway. I think it is hysterical where things go when left to their own devices.

I found that I could only use the ones with three numbers after the alt.
Maybe because I have an old system? Ü

I have tried and tried and cannot get the "characters" to work on my computer. Could it be because I have Macintosh machines in my house? Maybe the Mac's don't have this capability?

Mac's do but they are done totally different than a PC so someone with a Mac will have to advise you.

On a Mac - using number row, not pad
alt/option key + 2 = ™
+3 = £
+4 = ¢
5= ∞
6=§
7=¶
8=•
9=ª
0=º

now go back through that row, w/ alt + Shift - and here is what you get :
