Will it survive the winter? It's huge!

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

I have no idea. This is the first I have had them get 'this' big.

Emma

(Judith) Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

When did you first notice that it was that big??

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Skimper, beautiful blooms you have there. I wonder about your almost red
flower out of Sunrise Mixed, I grow that one too. My flower doesn't appear as
dark as it was last yr. Love the violet feathered one.
Karen, Love your blooms too. Drooling over the spoked mauve and the purple
with blizzard markings.

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

HI Judith,

I noticed that some of my vines were 'quite large' a month or so ago and just chalked it off because of all of the rain we have been having. Either that or because we have been 'seriously' amending all of our flower beds. One day we will hopefully be done with that huge project - then I can start putting flower beds where the grass is *ha*

Anyways, I thought about my huge vines again yesterday and took a photo of this one. I do have others, but I think this one wins the prize.

Wonder if anyone else has ever had trunks like this on their MGs?

Emma

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

I noticed one behind my big brug, with a big "stem"/trunk - I'll take a closer look, it was a a volunteer Milky Way.

I see the makings of an Emma and the morning glory stalk fairy tale here. LOL

Clatskanie, OR(Zone 9b)

My first Ayume flower. Started inside in mid march, bloomed August 24. Just what I wanted. Frank

I've been lurking and enjoying all the beautiful blooming vines. (I've had a lot on my plate lately, so have not been posting.)

This vine and it's blooms showed up against my fence intertwining with my white hyacinth bean vine. It's about 8 foot up in the air, so I can't get any closer as the garden bed is in front of it. This is with the zoom on my camera. Is this a cultivar of HIGE or what? I got photos of it last night at it's pre-bloom stage (which I had dmailed Emma for IDing). It bloomed this morning!

Not a good pic but look at the extra petal on Rose Silk. Did someone
post recently that they had a dbl on their Rose Silk?

That's a beauty Becky. Did Emma say it might be Sunrise Serenade?
That's what I always guess. lol
