Yes, definitely check the spam folder--that's where mine wound up too. Fortunately I looked at the subject line before I clicked the "Empty" button!

I got my e-mail today too and just sent an e-mail to Brian at Pixamo asking him if this beta trial is Macintosh compatible! Sure hope it is cause I think it will be a lot of fun!

Mine came today...been on a dead run though, and have company arriving any minute...it will have to wait till tomorrow...but I can't wait to get started!

Yup...there is a tab across the top that says upload...click it and it will give you the directions.

I just asked ecrane how to change it so it uploads fast by using smaller pictures...............i can't find that page to change it.................

I give up for the weekend..............i am not your average saavy 'puter person.........and this is frustrating..............will be back next week and learn how to do it.........java won't even let me upload..................

I just set up my account with the help of my Computer Whiz husband! I uploaded one photo to try it out. Gail, I added you as a friend.

To use their upload you will need to install the activeX feature when it tells you. After that you select the pics you want to upload and it will show them to you as thumbnails. Then click upload, sit back and wait until it is done. Then you add tags to them, and captions if you wish.

I am just getting started playing with it. I put a profile together but haven't invited any friends yet.

It is kinda cool....I just wish they would acknowledge our e-mail suggestions in some way.......we have been spoiled by Dave.......he answers everything in a beta test.

Gessie, your computer would have told you that you needed the active X control if you did, it must have downloaded it automatically for you or else you wouldn't have been able to upload pictures. As far as your question about finding that checkbox again, hopefully someone else can help you with that, I haven't had much time to play around yet, and I'm planning to upload the higher resolution pictures so I won't be looking for where that is.

ecrane i can't upload photos...............wish i could....................all I see when I press the upload is the picture of java........have downloaded both java and the active x...............

Sorry, I thought you said you had uploaded some and then you couldn't go back and figure out where the checkbox was to make smaller pictures.

just a note to all....when I tried to use the uploader the second time I waited for it forever...it appeared when I closed all windows. i thought it was a firefox problem and was gonna switch to IE7...there it appeared. I have had to do it that way each time, click on the uploader, wait a minute, then close all windows.

I got one photo uploaded .... went back on later and tried another, nada! I got the same java picture ... I was using my laptop which is quirky with this beta testing! I need to take notes!! LOL. If hubby isn't here to help me out, I will be lost without notes! I am sitting at the desktop machine now which should be easier .... think I will try and play with it from here!

I can't figure out how to drag and drop pictures to the uploader. Anyone else got that riddle solved?

I plum forgot that I had signed up on Pixamo some time ago.
I didn't get around to loading any photos so I'm now awaiting a reply to be added to the beta test.
Looking forward to getting started and sharing my experience with the test.

You can't drag and drop pictures, unfortunately, you have to click on and add them one at a time and then hit upload when you have picked them all.

I just got through uploading all the streps i could easily find.....................not going to upload anymore until i tag them with names......................
The puzzling part of this to me is why they all say the pics were taken in 2005............i didn't even know what a strep was until Janurary of 2007.....??????????? I must have my own pictures dated wrong in files.................

Would any of you let me add you as a friend so I can test out all the privacy settings and so on. I'm not sure who all to add to which groups in my 'real world' yet. And I would like to get some photos added first before I do that. I think it would be easier for testing purposes with you guys than explaining it to everyone that doesn't have a clue what I'm doing. LOL Let me know.

And, WOW, a free account! Yes! Have to see what that means. LOL

Can anyone download the photos we upload? Or is this just for others to 'look' at?

I think everyone here is adding each other as friends, so go for it! As far as downloading pictures, I went in to view someone else's pictures and when I right-clicked on the picture it gave me the option to save, so I think you can save other people's pictures. But it looks like the pics have a copyright on them just like they do here, and if you limit the viewing to your family/friends (rather than public) then the only people who can see them are the people you trust so you shouldn't have to worry.

I just went to pixamo again .... I don't know what I'm doing. I thought I deleted one of my three friends by mistake ... couldn't figure out who it was. Now I have Threegardener's on my list twice! :)

Sherry: just go to the top of the pixamo screen on your home page and click on contact. Then where it says name, type in plantladylin, and it should take you to a page where you can add me as a friend.

Whenever I try that, it asks for first name, last name and e-mail. And it says all fields are required.
