Looking for beta testers for photo uploading and sharing

Do you take a lot of photos of subjects, particularly non-gardening? We're developing a photo-sharing application that is not specifically gardening related but more of a "wide open, upload anything" kind of photo sharing system.

The system will allow you to upload as many photos as you want (including the original hi-res version) and then set privacy settings on each one. You'll be able to create groups and then limit individual photos to be viewed only within that group.

Lots and lots of other features, too, are being created for this, and we're ready for some beta testers to play with it.

If you're interested in trying it out and would be willing to give us feedback, please d-mail me and I'll send you instructions!

Dave

So. Puget Sound, WA(Zone 8b)

Oh yeah! I would use this one! I volunteer.

I'd love to test it for you! I post tons of pictures (and am quite interested in the resource you're offering), but the downside is they're all of plants. If that makes my input less helpful or valuable and you'd rather me not participate in the beta testing, I completely understand. :o)

Thanks for the opportunity, either way!

RainGazer, all photos are fair game! :) I've added you both to the beta list and will be dmailing you within a couple days.

Woohoo! Thanks, Dave! I'm looking forward to it! :o)

Fantastic!
You have D-mail.

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

I'm not sure how much time I can actually put into this...but would be willing to look it over from a photographer's standpoint and tinker with it a bit. I really like the idea of a secure place to store and share photos.

Coast range of, OR(Zone 8b)

I could give it a whirl.

North Augusta, ON

I'd love to play with this...I have tons of pictures I've been looking for something to do with :)) Been waiting for this feature forever!!

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

I'd be happy to play around with it too if you still need people

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Me too, please.
Laura

Pasco, WA(Zone 6b)

Me too!

Northeast, LA(Zone 8a)

Dave I will certainly give it a trail run. Cindy

Himrod, NY(Zone 6a)

Dave, I would love to try this. I lost a bunch of photos when my online storage site went kaput. Not sure if I am smart enough but DH said you would explain what to do.

Thanks for this feature.

I would be happy to test it. I have tons of photos and am always posting them. This could be fun.

Thanks everyone! We have a good group put together but I'd still like to have more people to test. I'm looking for at least 25 people and I have around 20 right now.

I'll be dmailing all of ya'll within a couple days with much more detail.

best,
dave

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

I'll test it out for ya if you need more. Thanks!

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

I have a photo archiving/sharing service that comes free with my Internet subscription (Yahoo! - Flickr), with all the features you're suggesting. so it wouldn't be needed by me. Doesn't DG already have a relationship with Flickr, noting their link at the bottom of our pages? I don't see the incremental value here. Am I missing something?

North Augusta, ON

I believe it would mean maybe we could post multiple photos in our blogs without having to make a new entry for each one (hoping so anyways)

Fredericksburg, VA(Zone 7a)

I'm interested Dave! I take alot of garden photos, but I take many of other subjects too!

Karen

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I'll play, too, if you still need people. :-)

Karen and Marylyn - thanks! I've added you to the beta list and will dmail you in a couple days.

Andy, this is quite a bit different than Yahoo or Flickr...
