Hello,
I need help. I just bought poppy seeds online and when I opened the package the seeds looks like the one on the picture. Is it normal for us to be able to see the white part of the seeds? It seem to be crushed into tiny pieces. I'm pretty sure most of the are crushed because I find several that still looks good and looks like normal seeds but I would like a second opinion. Thank you.

Here's link that say the seeds are tiny black balls:

Seraphine, it does appear that your seeds have been crushed. Did they arrive in a bubble wrap envelope? Otherwise, they could have easily been crushed by the rollers at the post office. I grow Meconopsis here, and I collect seed every fall. The seeds need to be planted fresh or frozen until you plant them. If you would like some more seeds, just D-mail me and I can send you some for postage.
