Hello! I posted a pic of this when it was about 4" tall and nobody knew what it is. Here it is a month or so later and it has grown larger. I planted a few Datura metel seeds in this pot which didn't grow, but this mystery plant came up. I haven't pulled it because I don't see anything like it anywhere around here, and never have.
Anybody know?
Is that a woody stem or a red, fleshy stem?
It is a red stem, not very woody at all.
Is it Astilbe?
No, I don't think so. I'm pretty sure its a weed, but it would still be nice to know what it is. It looks like its going to flower, I doubt it will be anything showy however.
The stem is not quite "wood" but definately fibrous, and square... and red.
Well, weed or not...I think it's kinda pretty! I love the red stem...
