North Texas RoundUp - Trade page

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Linda please, I need some of that Prairie Verbena, whatever you can spare.
Thank you.

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Here is how I am keeping up with the trade lists. Just bookmarking them and changing the name.

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Pattie - I'll gladly take some of your Coneflower seeds.

Sugarfoot - Can I have some of your Cowpen Daisy seeds?

Carla

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

ptxlady - We sure can! We can use anything, we have about 2 acres and nothing but two big old trees in that so we have a lot of room we can fill.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

TARogers- will trade for a computer lesson! I like what you're doing. Explain a little more.
Pbtxlady- ok for white rainlily(have lots) GB and DL are yours.
Mama Jack- I'd love to give you the zepherine.. I am pretty sure it is native coneflower since it grows taller, is lighter pink and has droopy petals. I can post a picture this W/E.I'd like the white turk's cap and big ear lamb's ear.
Patrob- ok for purple oxalis
Will update my list later.

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Pattie, I've got pink Rock Rose too!! I'll pot up some of them too.

Josephine, I missed a post where you asked if something was seeds or plants. Was that question for me? If it was, you know you can have anything I've got in my garden! Just let me know

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Paige, it was about the Cone Flowers. Everything is good, I need to get my list done for sure, maybe this weekend.
Josephine.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

OMG talk about a lot of stuff to read and digest. I looked at the calendar and we are closed at work on Sundays so I am free and I looked on mapquest to see how far it is from Tyler and I'm sure I can find my way. But after reading all of this I don't know lol
Hubby is starting to clear out stuff and I can't say what I have or don't have that anyone would want with it all being so new to me.
I know we have small pine trees and small winged elm and black jack oaks and wisteria that I can put in some 5 gallon buckets but with the round up being 2 months away I don't know that they would do well in buckets to offer them.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

It sounds to me like you have some very good possibilities there. I know that Mitch
can use a lot of the trees for his school project.
Please come, we would love to meet you, and you really don't have to have plants to swap, many people who do a lot of potting, including me, are happy to exchange for perlite or compost, or what have you.
Also many of us will have have a lot of extra plants that we will be glad to give away.
It is a swap, yes, but mainly it is about meeting each other and having a good time sharing, eating and laughing.
As we get closer to the date we will have a more concise thread so we can tell what we are doing.
Josephine.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

well If I can keep hubby from mowing down the lil trees or find a way to move them till time I'll do that
and gee just dawned on me I have several copies of the cookbook we did at the volunteer fire dept hubby was asst. cheif of so I can bring those.
As for food to pass that isn't' a problem since I am a sous chef and I love to bake. I just would mean y'all would have to try a Yankee's cookin ...hahahaha

can beauty berry be rooted form a cutting? if so I can do that and bring some

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes it can, I don't know how it will work at this time, but it is worth a try.
Josephine.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, Paige, that would be great. I have a new bed in front of a 30-foot wall that is finally clear of Japanese honeysuckle. I've been racking my brains trying to think of something nice for it, and it just dawned on me that rock rose would be perfect.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Mibus - I can use any trees.

Anyone - can I have a rock rose or two or the school?

I don't have a list yet, but was thinking about something that might make it easier to find all of our lists as the thread gets so long.
We have the ability to link to a particular post now by clicking the post #, and can use it like this.

I just captured the post shortcuts that I could find, and put them on a word page, then copied them over to this post. If we started a new thread, we could do this, and make it one of the first entries, and could add on others links to it as we moved forward.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Great idea Sheila,!!!! Mitch, What do you think?
Josephine.

Granbury, TX(Zone 7b)

I think this is a wonderful idea!!!! Thanks, Sheila

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

I think Mitch will agree, so who's gonna start the new thread?

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Maybe we should let Mitch do it, since he started this one, no rush.

Fort Worth, TX

Since I'm new I don't know how you do any of that can someone explain? I still haven't explored all the bells and whistles of this place :)

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Mibus, I'd like to have any of the trees you listed, if possible. I can't wait to try some of your Yankee food!

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Mibus, I wasn't born in Texas (but got here as soon as I could - 1980), I was born and raised in Midland, Michigan. I would *love* to taste some Yankee cooking!!

Carla

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Just letting everyone know I added my list above. I will make additions once I get back home.

:) Kim

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/763987/

Here it is...

working all day so it will be less of me on here in the day time but Shelia can you post over there first the list you just did here. That is WONDERFUL!!

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Kim, will you please put me down for your TX Star hibiscus? I'm not too good with seeds, so if you have a seedling, I'd love one.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

I'll bring everything I can from the yard as there is a lot back there and I'm sure hubby won't get to all of it before then and since I am telling him to leave stuff for this I should have a car full for sure.....so Bronc and Mitch you'll get trees *S*

As for the food part so many choices of what to make I'll have to wait and see what kind of list there is as to what is being brought then go from there. LOL

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

You are right Mibus, the food will probably have to be simple since we are expecting a large group. Let us wait and see as we get closer.
Josephine.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 8b)

Pbtxlady, if Kim doesn't have any seedlings now of Tx Stars, I do & would be glad to bring some to you.
:~)

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I know I've got at least a couple red TX star seedlings, maybe some white too but it depends on how well things survived while I was away. I will know more tomorrow. I've got you down pbtxlady.

:) Kim

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

My Rose of Sharon (Red Eyed Snowball) is setting seed for the first time! Anyone interested? I could bring seeds and/or try to root some cuttings.

Also, I can try too root some cuttings from my Chinese Indigo if someone wants them.

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I am also looking for verbena bonariensis if anyone has this. I've got more to add to my list but just got back home so give me a couple days to get settled.

:) Kim

My verbena bonariensis looks too sad to propagate, would you like some seed?

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)
