banana - I too would love some Bravado coneflower and four nerve daisy. LMK what you would want from my list.
North Texas RoundUp - Trade page
Mitch, tell me about limelight artemesia . Sheila and Mitch, you will both love the 4 nerve daisy.
Patrob, I would love to have as many Asiatic Jasmine as you can spare. Also, I'd like 1 or 2 twist leaf yuccas, PLEASE.
Broncbuster, I'll put your name on some Asiatic jasmine and twist leaf yuccas. I have plenty of both and am glad to share them with you.
Patricia
banana....I'd love to get some purple monarda for me and my mom. I am away right now in NY but when I get home I will try to get together a list.
Thanks, Kim
I have you Blue eyes, Sheila and Mitch down . I think I will pass on the artemesia. I don't have enough room. I will also trade for coffee grounds. mulch, compost and soil.
Siggy, I'd love some of those coneflower seeds too! I am just now getting involved in this years swap so I don't know what you want or what I have, but I'm sure I can find something. :)
Bananna, I've got you down for horse manure. Would you also like some native mulch?

Okay, I'm just now getting around to reading the whole thread.
Carla, I forgot to include our earlier conversation. If you still have your obedient plant, I can still use it. If you can still use coneflowers, I'm your lady.
Mitch, I have red oak seedlings. I also have catmint. I probably have enough catmint for every household in America. Now that I think about it, I probably also have that many red oaks. :)
Pat, my dad has a beautiful tangerine canna which is now in full shade and needs a new home. This year I have Perilla Magilla, and purple, yellow, and tangerine coleus. And I have hundreds of coneflowers.
Bronc, my dad also has tons of variegated vinca minor, which I'm about to go thin out. I can also do the blue-eyed grass. I would love some of your chicken poop, if you have enough.
Cocoa, I have been wanting to try caryopteris, but you're the first person I've found who grows it in Texas. If you have extra seeds, please put me down.
Bananna, I have trailing rosemary. Is that the same thing as prostrate?
Siggy, if you need shade plants, would you like some toad lilies?
For those who have salvias, please put me down. Any color.
Pbtxlady, I'll look for the caryopteris blue mist seeds, it's new for me this year so I'm not real sure about seed, I'll take cuttings too. One way or another try and get you some. I have it in full sun and I think would appreciate a little break. But then almost everything is starting to look a bit tired. It's a very pretty blue tho.
Pbtxlady, I would love trailing rosemary, cerise yarrow , blue skullcap and hen and chicks. I know DL Going Bananas is EV,will check the others. Do you want the salvia greggiis or other salvias too? Tell me about bluewater hyssop.
Pbtxlady....could I please have some of the two bee balms for me and my mom? Also, perhaps some hen and chicks for me too? I will get a list up as soon as I get back home....as long as the hurricane doesn't strand me here....lol.
Kim
cocoa, the caryopteris will reseed plenty of babies for you next year. If you can collect seeds they should be easy to grow by just throwing them out. I'm hoping to find hiding babies today (lost mom) when I clean out a ton of salvias and cosmos in my bed.
pbtx, I'd love a red oak seedling. Do you happen to know what kind of red oak it is?
Oh, konkreteblond, do you grow caryopteris too? Yea! I'm just dying to try it. Do y'all think it would grow in a part-shade bed?
I'm not actually sure which red oak we have. I *thought* there were two native types: Texas and shumard. Recently I read that they are both shumard. Mine is the type that gets very tall and loses its leaves (all 7,845,211 of them) in mid- to late December. But I also have access to seedlings from the other kind. Those seem to be a little shorter and more contained than mine. They don't drop their leaves until spring, and immediately put out new ones. I can bring babies from both.
Bananna, water hyssop is a small leaved herbaceous spreading plant. It covers with little blue flowers from July to frost. There's a picture of the foliage here: http://www.pmblonestarlady.com/gallery/album01/Lemon_bacopa_2. Sorry I don't have a photo of it in full bloom.
Edited to say: I don't know why I can't get my links to work! It's in the plant files, though, if you do a search for lemon bacopa.
And yes, I'd love your salvia greggii. What color is it? I'd like to move my Cherry Sundaes and replace them with a solid color.
Editing my list above to add the other requests, and a couple of new things I thought of.
Pattie

TA - do you have any more of that elephant grass you gave a a part of two years back?
The variegated one. Yes I have plenty
Can I have some please? Mine died last winter from unknown causes...
No problem.
pitxlady I would like some of your rosemary
This message was edited Aug 19, 2007 7:07 PM
Thank you - the coleus are still going so strong... and the begonia you gave me bloomed non stop all summer.... a waterfall of wonderful red blooms.
pbtxlady, I hope I have some plants you would like since you have several I'd love to have: coneflowers, catmint, beebalm 'Jacob Kline' and pink, and that tangerine canna if your dad wants to part with it.
I have light pink obedient plant on my list, and I have a huge sweet autumn clematis vine. I'll try to root some cuttings. (I'll have more to add as soon as we meet our moo-vin' deadline. We sold our ranch a couple of months ago, and cow, calf, equipment, and hay bale have to be off the property by next week.)
Hi Pat and everyone, I have been remiss in putting up my list, because i am so busy, bu i will do it soon.
Josephine.
Hi Josephine, I think we gardeners are always eager for a RU and swap, but there's still lots of time for posting lists and swapping. I posted my regular list of plants I know I have, but hopefully I'll have a few more interesting by early fall.
Bananna, how about one pink and one red? Would that be okay?
I'm also looking for blue salvias--May Night, Mystic Spires, Indigo Spires, or really any, if anyone has extras. Anyone have bog sage?
Siggy, got you down for toad lilies. Now you know that, since we're not meeting till the end of October, these will probably not bloom for you until next fall. But they'll bloom when nothing else is going on.
Pat, I'll put you on my list for everything you mentioned. If you have pink obedient plant and sweet autumn clematis, that would just make my day. I have a whole bare wall to cover with the clematis.
Ted, got you down for the rosemary.
pbtxlady, I have grown caryopteris. It's beautiful but seems to be pretty short lived but you'll usually have babies to take over. I learned that it doesn't like too much water this year, with all of our rain. Unfortunately, they were the last of mine so I'll have to go dig around in my mom's flowers for another. :)
I'll take a couple of red oak seedlings, either kind is fine. Thanks!
I'm trying to root some Indigo Spires now. Sometimes I can get them too. I've also got bog sage.

pbtxlady............i have plenty of bog sage. i will bring you some. anyone else? also, can i have some pink bee balm, too. do you need purple bee balm?
and i have grown caryopteris worcester gold for years here. it pretty much gets sun all day in a normal texas year. i will look for a baby.
I have rabbit poop from 3 suppliers LOL! I have three rabbits and mixed in with their poop will be pine pellets (that turn to powder when moisture hits them) and timothy hay (no seeds) if anyone is interested. Also my boyfriend and I went back to this old abandoned house Saturday and dug up about 30 Iris. We got about 15 cannas last weekend from there. I need a few Iris but not 30. I have no idea what they are. This house has stood abandoned for 5 years at least. The Iris look really healthy though.
blue I will take a few of the Iris.
Kblond, good to know. My caryopteris is new and hasn't looked as healthy as it should. Silly me, been loving it to death and watering more. Live and learn, I haven't seen babies or seeds yet, but it's just now really hitting it's blooming stride.
Updating my list, if I've missed anyone PLMK.
PB, I'll bring your chicken poop and a gallon of compost tea if you'd like. I'm excited about the blue eyed grass and I'd love to have as much periwinkle as I can get. Also, I'd like some St. Johns Wort, please.
Ted, please bring me all the yuccas if it will keep you from spraying roundup.
Cactus makes great compost!
This message was edited Aug 20, 2007 10:49 AM
bronc, got you down. Compost tea would be great.
Bluesmaven, I'd love rabbit poop too. Did you know that's one of the only kinds you don't have to compost first? You can put it directly on your plants, and it won't burn or smell.
Mamajack, your baby caryopteris would also be great.
Okay, now I gotta tell you guys who are asking for pink bee balm. This plant bloomed twice this year. First time it was purple, then when that was done, the pink blossoms came out. (LOL.) It didn't do that last year. So hopefully I'll be bringing the pink part, but you might get both.
Updating my list above. Please let me know if I missed anything.
BTW, anyone know where Sylvia is?
Mitch, thanks for taking some of the Iris!
Broncbuster, I do stained glass and I have a scrap glass box of peices. Is that the type of thing you are wanting?
pbtxlady, I read that just yesterday about rabbit poop. I have been sprinkling handfuls around my flowers but not much because I was afraid to burn the flowers and I was too lazy to make any tea and don't have a compost. You can have any of the poop you want, they'll make more. LOL
i'll take some poop from whoever has it. any kind will do. i just want mine to throw in the compost heap.
broncbuster............what's with the iron pieces.................just anything? just small items? lmk where you are going with this so i can know what to look for.
mamajack, I'll bring some rabbit poop for you if you want.
Sherill
pbtxlady, Sylvia should be back @ work this morning. I took here to the TNLA Expo in Dallas this wkend & wore her out!!!
Talk about the blind leading the blind. If it wasn't me loosing my cell phone for half of Sat, it was her loosing her case. Car keys, house keys, too many bags of info, too many different colors. If we had got it together, we may have bought the place out!
I think she really had a good time. I know she was plum tuckered out! 2008 is going to be in Hou & I think she is going to be prepared to come on down for that one.
