Morning Glories 2007 # 16

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Joseph - That flower and the entire vine is just fabulous! And fragrant to boot! I think YOU have found the "perfect" Morning Glory! Seriously ..... what a beauty!

All of the MG photos on this thread are lovely! Always a joy to read and view the photos on this thread! :-)

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Joseph, how old is your Ipomoea albivenia?

Robertsdale, AL(Zone 8b)

Joseph, that is stunning! I just telling myself that I was going to concentrate in JMG's!!.......now I may reconsider! Great job.

Arlan

Thanks, Becky, Ronnie and Arlan! Ronnie, this plant is in its second summer. I overwinter it in the container in the sunroom where it tends to be semi-dormant. I hope it and the other xeric plants I am growing do not root-rot with all the rain we have been getting lately.

Joseph

joseph

Joseph, that's gorgeous. I thought albivenia was all white. Didn't realize it
would have a beautiful dark throat.

Jackie

You're right, Jackie, the other photos I have seen online are like what I am growing but are without the red center...hmm maybe I don't have albivenia?

(Judith) Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

And look at all those fat buds! You're in for a treat!

I don't mean to be boring everyone with this same, one, plant, but ... here's one of today's flowers. Not as shredded looking as the others, from head on.

Infrequently, the elongated stamens of this JMG are not present; it is still a nice flower.

Joseph, I'm sure yours is albivenia but it's a most special albivenia.
Bragging rights for sure. Gorgeous Shikanoko not.

Deb, love your purple Tie Dye.

Emma, my Split Personality was never that split. Very nice.
Love your light blue with the dark blue star.

Boy, I missed alot of beautiful flowers on here..

Arlan, that speckled one is really nice.. 50/50 (why not, if we have a 10/10, we can have 50/50 lol..) That double trouble there looks good too. You've got some nice stuff there... are any forming pods?? the bat leaf here is forming pods and a couple of others are starting to flower, but I've missed some..

Hey Thanks Joseph, Jackie and Karen. . .

I'm going nuts here in Texas :-(
As a result of ALL of this rain that FINALLY left us, we are now pushing 100 degrees and a couple of areas of my MGs leaves look terrible.
Rust!
Very first time I've had this problem - ever . . .
So, we are battling that. Mostly pulling off all of the large leaves, and I do mean large leaves - again from all of this rain. Heck you should see the trunks on some of my MGs, now that I think about it I must take some photos of those. 1" to 2" or so on some.

Emma
