Not sure what is going on with these either. Bottoms are yellowed and on some of the leaves I noticed holes...
Heuchera...little holes...beetles?
My first guess would be snails or slugs. Do you see any slime trails?
And the yellowing at the base is usually caused by too much water. But the leaves I see look burned on the edges - as in too much fertilizer or not enough water. But - there are other possibilities too. How do you care for them - water, fertilizer, etc? How long have they been in the ground?
They have been in the ground for about 2-3 months. I tested the fertilization and my ground seems to be way underfertlized. I don't see any slime trails but it is on dirt so I it would be difficult to notice. When I first planted, I watered deepely every other day for about a week and since I only go out and water about once a week since it has been pretty dry on in VA.
I was thinking it was not enough water since it is in a pretty sunny spot. Don't heucherra like cool roots?
They also like shade--especially in climate where summer temps can get pretty hot I can't imagine they'd enjoy having too much sun, especially if it's afternoon sun.
