This worm seems to have found a way to get inside my daylily bud, and eat and destroy much of the flower before it opened. I noticed something had been chewing on the bud - it had obvious holes in it. Then it opened and the worm was INSIDE. Not a pleasant surprise! Anyhow, if anyone recognizes this worm, please let me know if it will harm the plant permanently or anything.
All of the flowers that have opened this one have looked much the same, except without the culprit in the bloom.
What is this in my daylily?
