This little guy was sitting on my glads yesterday and I couldn't help but stare. Does anyone know what this is? It has beetle like shell and can fly.

I don't know, it sure looks like this Dogbane Beetle, but they're very specific about what they eat... maybe their host plant (Dogbane) is nearby?

claypa......your an angel! That looks exactly like it and I have a big field by my house so I am sure there is some dogbane in it. Thank you so much!!
