I went fishing with my son in a private pond a few days ago and was told that if I caught a bluegil to please bury it as they are trying to control the population. I caught enought to fill a bucket but released them instead. We are going fishing again and wonder if I buried it in my yard if it will good fertilizer?

About burying fish?
my Dad used to go sucker fishing (carp, real ugly fish) Mom used to chop them up, and bury them under her peonies....
She had the most beautiful peonies on the block.....
Thanks for the tip, they have carp in the pond too. Think I will try bottom fishing.
Only one drawback. I f you have cats and/or certain wild animals like skunks, bury them good. If they catch the smell they will dig them up along with anything else near them them.
