Jo,
Sorry, I've been tied up with family in town, however they are gone now and I still intend to come to lunch and the Gardens tour (the tram one!). Looking forward to meeting everyone!

TIDEWATER AREA SWAP
Good...I'll have company while I pamper my OLD feet. Jo
Is today the day? If so, have a great time and I will wait to hear good reports from the get together. With the tidewater area being so "up and coming," I am sure that there will be other opportunities for groups of us to get together to visit places. Maybe someone in the group will take it upon themselves to post area happenings that are garden related. Or, with this amazing machine at my finger tips, I suppose that each of us can research gardening shows and the like that will take place in the area and then come here and report and see if a group can be gotten together.
I would like to be able to communicate more with those in the tidewater area, because it is close enough for me to take trips down quite easily. Is there a Tidewater Forum here? I can't remember how this thread was started.
Anyway, please have a great time.
Ruby

What a wonderful day! It was so nice to put faces with names and actually meet them. I will post pic later. I'm tired and my feet hurt!
Jo thanks so much for putting this together!
Dawn
Dawn....we too had a GREAT day....thanks to each of you who made our day a good one.
We got home and I made my self scarce while Sami was out side planting her "loot"!!
I'll be going on to Richmond tomorrow....and Sami will be going to Atlanta to visit one of her sisters.....but we'll remember you all ....until next time!! Hugs....Jo & Sam
I had a great time too! I just found my camera cord so hopefully I can get some pics up here tomorrow.
I'm still trying to figure out what I brought home, lol!
Laura
Yes I had a good time and company was excellent!!! My golf game was not as good. I will plant all my plants today. We can have one next summer at my backyard. Bellie
Thank all of you for posting your thoughts on the day. Sounds like everyone had a great time. Oh yes Belle, a swap at your place would be great.
Jo and Sami have safe trips. Here is hoping that everyone has a great weekend.
Ruby
I am so looking forward to seeing the photos. Sorry I missed it!
Bonnie
ME TOO!
Nice picture Jo!!! Yes it will be in my backyard next year. Sometime in May or June. Bellie
Great pics of such smiling faces. It looks as though everyone had a great time. I am up for a swap in Kempsville. Just remember to post it on the Mid Atlantic forum. So sorry to have missed everyone, but next time hopefully all my doctor visits are but a memory.
Take care and thank you for taking and posting the pics Jo.
Ruby
My pleasure, Ruby....sorry you missed it. Jo
Great photos! I'm sorry I missed it (but we did have a great weekend with my brother's family down for a visit).
Ruby, I hope you mend quickly and completely! We need your smiling face at the next event...
Thanks Critter. I will be smiling a lot more at the next swap, believe me. I am having extensive dental work done. I have had two implants done so far and this will be a several month long process. I have just returned from a visit to the periodonist a bit ago. I needed to have sutures on one side of mouth again today. Not fun, but I will have a beautiful smile soon.
After this, no more doctors for a while and I mean it. ha-ha thanks for thinking of me.
Ruby
Oh boy, I hate most of the pics of me, oh well. I have braces on at the moment, so my normal smile is missing. It's like trying to smile while having a mouth full of paperclips!
Ruby, sorry to hear you are having dental work done. I hope the results are gorgeous for you.
Sorry I have not yet posted my pics...pure laziness on my part, plus a migraine all weekend.
Laura
Everyone apparently had a great time last week. I'm glad to know that we may have another one in Kempsville in the spring. Maybe we could even have one in Blackwater at our farm. Have to work on that. We're so far in Blackwater that we're almost in North Carolina.
I took my daughter and absolutely adorable 15 month old granddaughter to Roanoke to visit the last living sibling of my mother - last out of 11. When I got home my son had put red mulch all around the trees and flower beds and it looks great. I have this sand hill with a Cape Henry light house in the middle. He didn't put mulch on the sand but did put it around the hill with white marble chips around the mulch. The red mulch really stands out. What a wonderful present! You didn't need to know all of that but I thought I would tell you anyway.
Sorry I didn't get to meet you Jo but maybe next time.
Bonnie
Thanks for sharing Bonnie about your welcome home surprise. It sounds nice.
Ruby
