This plant was in our local nursery. It was in terrible condition. They just gave it to us. They called it an oxtail plant.. We can't locate the name in any of our plant books. Hopefully we can save it. I would like to know more about it.

I could not find anything under oxtail, but I did find oxtongue.....(but it is a weed, and probably not your plant)

Well, it's not a weed -- I think it's called bloodleaf. Used to see them a lot around So. CA years ago as a houseplant.
