What kind of marigold is this?

Anyone know? There are so many kinds... i need genus/species.

My camera washes out yellows too, you would probably need a better pic to narrow that down. Try lower light times to take a photo(with no flash)

The simple flower makes me think of the Mexican marigold, tagetes erectus. (not the african variety, tagetes erecta).

I'm not sure, however.

i have some that look just like this that grew form a package of "disco mix" seeds. i imagine they are called "disco" becouse the blooms are single, which gives them that flat look...

i like them lots better than the frillier double kind - and the bicolored ones are even prettier.

try the plant id forum for quick answers - i've gotten them in under an hour sometimes!
