I live in zone 5b and would like a head start on my fall garden because I started spring and summer stuff late.
I have already started my broccoli and brussell sprouts indoors. When should I plant them
I also want to know when should I sow peas, carrots, lettuce, and spinach seeds outdoors.
Thank you in advance
Fall Planting
I'm in your zone, in Illinois, and the usual date seems to be around August 1
I'm starting a fall garden for the first time myself this year, and what I've read is that you find your last frost date (for the cold-sensitive veggies, at least), and count backwards given the "days to maturity" of your particular crop. Seems like it makes sense, anyway!
I am going to put in my first fall garden and I am wondering if anyone from zone 9 is also gardening this fall. It is too hot right now to grow much but when should I start planting and what are the best crops to plant? Would love some advise.
