Faraway Flowers Lilies (how are you liking yours so far?)
My Ebony's are wonderful, as is my Cecil. ;) Ramona, I'm sorry, I forgot to say your lilies were beautiful. I just saw yours and thought of mine. Please excuse me, I've been out mowing all night and my brain is just running a test pattern at the moment... ;)

I love seeing how these look from the midwest to the east and west coast. The flowers are really unique, ahh, and the fragrance on those Japanese Hybrids are so sweet.
Thanks everyone, for sharing these in your gardens. I love the pictures you all have posted.
I like how open that flower is. It's on my list (surprise ;) )
Ramona, you're killing me here!!! :) LOL
Most of my lilies are done; nothing new to look at. So I am here . . . feasting on your lovely pics.
Oh, oh, oh, ooooooooooh! I feel another addiction coming on!
Maxine, I would imagine that anything you could grow in zone 4a Wisconsin, I could grow in 4b Iowa. What have you had success with? Lilies, that is.

I just visited buggycrazy's site, and she is really on a rant. Is it safe to order from her? LOL;>)
Yes!!!! I love reading her rants. I check back often to see if there are any changes lol. Where else can you order lily bulbs and the farmer goes out and digs them fresh by hand, checks the weather across the country before shipping, and has great communication?
There is no where else, pard, is there?
I keep thinking I should start a thread called....what I owe pard for showing me Buggy Crazy. That information alone is worth the subscription cost to Daves. Not to mention all of the wonderful people.
Her rants are part of what I love about Lisa....honesty! I feel like I'm reading a friends letter. Maybe Lisa should start her own farming blog. I know I'd tune in to read it ;) Lol!
Oh wow, you would ask me that!! LOL
I was having trouble keeping the orientals, but solved that problem with putting wood chips on to a depth of 4 to 6" deep. Believe it or not, those hardy little stems come thru.
Favorites, where ever my eyes lite on.
Am partial to pink any shade of pink though.

I first found buggy when I was on gweb and everyone was talking like we talk here. I checked it out, she was selling on the Lily Auction site then. Then I saw she was just 5 miles from me. Well, then I thought it was someone just reducing their excess from their yard lol, not a real farmer! Little did I know.... Maybe it is time to drag up that classic buggycrazy thread for the new people here to enjoy. I saw that when I first became a subscriber and nearly fell out of my chair spewing coffee.
Dig it up, please! Let me go get a towel first, though.
I would like to see it, too!
Darn, I can't find it! If it has the word buggycrazy in the title I could find it. I don't have time right now but when I do I will look again. Nothing ever gets removed from these forums (unless it is REALLY bad) so I know it is still out there in old threads land...
I looked her up on her members page to see the threads she had started, but they were all images for plant files. Does she still post here?
No, I don't know if she's ever posted in the forums but she is in the GWD so is able to respond there. Pard, not sure I recall that thread, what was the gist of it?
Oh dear, I just read the rant! We could send her a sign to post? One that says,
"Trespassers will be shot.
Survivors will be shot again."
Moby, you should e-mail her that one, she'd love it.
Maxine, the shot you posted looks like 'Altaville'. My 'Maywood' just opened this afternoon and is pink. It's a beautiful shot, whoever it is ;)
Maybe Mainiac can supply the correct name.

Ahhhh! Found it! It has to do with the trials and tribulations of planting buggy-sized bulbs and addiction to multiple orders from buggy....

Ok, so where are all those fun people that posted in that thread? Moby, Maxine, Lilyfan and you are still here, Wanda is here on occasion, Tazzy pops in with a daylily to mess with our heads once in a while...
We need all the other folks back in here!!! Maybe we should let them know Buggy's site goes into action in a little over two days? :) After all, we would be doing them a favor, no? :) Heck, they could even get in on the sales before the ground freezes! LOL
Great thread, thanks for digging it out. :)
If someone would post to the thread it will then show up in their thread watcher.... perhaps a bump would be in order... and come to think of it aren't we missing a few people now? Beaker? intercessor? raydio? Hellooooooooo???? We know wallaby is always around, even if we don't "see" her..
I've noticed some MIA as well. Where are they? Please don't tell me they don't like lilies anymore. Lol! Uh-oh. I just remembered something about a spaceship. pard, what have YOU done with them??
Uh... hmmmm.... duh.... I have no idea what you are talking about....
Major subjectchanger pard!
Luckily, I like that subject!
Her site goes into action tomorrow?
I understand that her site goes up August 1st for ordering. That would be Wednesday. You can always visit the site and "window shop" until then.
I CAN"T FIND mine...........................whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Maybe it just doesn't want to bloom this year (first) for me, gotta go see if I can find the marker.
It's gotta be there, llilyfan. Don't cry ;). It's a beauty. Large flowers and very soft coloration.
You and Mainiac were correct. I read the wrong marker. Maywood hasn't opened for me yet.
Dang bunnies are at it again. Archie has shot 6 already, but evidently missed a couple.
