How can you tell when to pick ochra.

Okra is generally picked, (cut the stem with a knife) when it's 3" or less in length. Most varieties get tough and inedible if left to grow much larger. If you've never harvested it before, you might want to wear gloves...sometimes there are little hairs that irritate the skin on some people.
