Hibiscus flowering question

My hibiscus recently started flowering. I have 3 plants, each a separate type/color. The blooms only seem to last a day. On one the blooms actually seem too heavy for the stem and they fall over. The other two are beautiful for that day. Is this normal, and should I deadhead or cut these back once they are finished? Thanks,

Especially if the weather is hot, many hibiscus flowers only last a day. Some varieties have 2 day flowers, and even the ones with 1 day flowers may give you 2 days of enjoyment if the weather's a bit cooler. But it's perfectly normal for the blooms to be short lived. I've also found that the spent blooms typically fall off on their own so there's no need for you to do anything, but if they're sticking around on the plant and looking unsightly there's nothing wrong with pulling them off yourself either. For the one where the stems are flopping, you could try staking them to keep the flowers from flopping over, that way you can enjoy them more.

The hisbiscus that I got this year is also only a one for a day. What's odd about it though is I am getting two color flowers. Sometimes orange, sometimes red. Kind of cool. :)
