It's so much fun looking at other people's blooms!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Beth, I agree. The pics are great so it's like having a front row seat.

Baton Rouge area, LA(Zone 8b)

This was already closing by 9 this morning. It is China species from
Mr Hudson. I only started one of these and I know I didn't get it mixed up
with any other seedling. Mr Hudson says it has palmate lvs.
I couldn't get a good picture. It has lots of buds, so will try again as they
open. The flower is about 2 inches across. Anyone else growing this one
who can send a pic?

Your Star of India is awesome

Jackie, I don't see any palmate leaves. Are those the leaves of another MG?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Emma, it does look a lot like Star of India except I can't see the star. LOL

Beth, mine doesn't have palmate lvs. Those huge tri-lobed lvs go with my pic.
The newest lvs coming in heart shaped. I think Mr Hudson mixed up the seeds.
Hoping someone else is growing this one and sends pics.

Can someone post a photo of one that I "DON'T" like???? Are there any that are UGLY???? LOL!

I love this thread! I could look at all these photos of beautiful blooms all day long! I've got some seeds growing now that are new (to me) and I can't wait to see the blooms IRL (in real life). Ahhhh .... like a kid in a candy store ......... my biggest dilemma ...... what MG to grow next. (Many thanks to some of you who have been so kind as to share some seeds!) This REALLY is exciting!!!! :-) I never understood the big deal about growing MGs until I started growing them myself. Now I am hooked! (Emma - you are partly to blame for my new addiction! But I sooooo appreciate it! )

Robertsdale, AL(Zone 8b)

This is from a Kyushu University mix...The flower is not huge, but it is consistently ruffled in this dark blue.

I like it too, Arlan, really nice big flower for the first one!

Here are a couple JMGs that are starting to make leaves like the one you sent to me, Arlan (Q0426).

A second plant of same cultivar.

Look at the way cool leaves on this vine!

This JMG just started flowering. It has standard purpurea sized flowers, but delicate pink with a slightly darker eye.
