now Martha is this picture... oh she is a wonderful lady too.... and my sisters are asking me about the cheesecake... I didn't get to eat... so I guess I am inviting myself over to Saugus!!!!
RU pictures.... enjoy!!!!
Kassia, that 'chicken sandwich' was fabulous.
I hope there were not toooo many plants left. I think I grabbed more than I brought. That was not supposed to happen, ya know.
Looks like it was a good time. Congratulations Kass on all your hard work. I'm sure it gets easier in the future.
I got Alpine Strawberries, wallflowers, lemon balm, marigolds and basil. (I was soooo lucky!)
I got a ride with Harper so I made a new friend and didn't have to drive! What could be better? Thank you, Harper.
Kassia brought out the turtles and they are not the size of bottle caps anymore. The biggest one is about 5" long. They grow up so fast.
The Dave talked about his goal in creating Dave's Garden - to help people connect with other people. And I thought it was all about the flowers! LOL
Guys, that hat was meant to be a wide-brimmed floppy hat with my curls sticking out. I didn't know I would look like I was trying to hide the fact that I was bald. I'm not. I'm neither balding nor ashamed of my hair. I may be ashamed of my hat....
I can't wait to go outside and look at all my goodies!!!
xxx, Carrie
Thanks Andy... I will plant it this week... so happy!!!!
I can't believe we're all awake and still buzzing! I'm happy that you're so happy, Kassia.
xxxxxxx, Carrie
Had a great time meeting everyone yesterday. My wife Marilyn enjoyed meeting the group. It was great to meet Dave.

Thanks for the photos Kass! Who is the gentleman behind Martha and the lady behind Debi? Whose daughters are Caroline and Lizzie?
Sorry I wasn't up at 6 am with the rest of you. The night before the ru I had 4 hours of sleep. Didn't get to bed until 11 pm. Woke up at 8 am (instead of usual 5:30 am) and remembered I had a 9 am eye doctor appointment.
Came home, looked at the photos (yes - that's me filling my face . . . sigh) and read Carrie's thread on davotees - Brilliant! I added my comment so that other new members can read the thread :-)
Lizzie and Caroline are Debi's daughter.... the woman with my mom!!!
Thanks, Kass. And the others?
Glad to see everyone had a good time. Love the pics and being able to put faces to names now. Hope someday I'll be able to attend an RU. Eleanor

Kassia,
Thanks again for hosting and posting all the pictures. Liz and Caroline had a great time (eating all the pie and ice cream!). I really should have brought my camera too.
I brought home some wonderful new plants I can't wait to find homes for. I hope all of you who adopted my "mystery" daylilies will send photos when they bloom.
The Dave would be comfortable here today - I think it's in the mid-90's now!
Keep cool,
Deb aka: Tamberlin
my pleasure... I think I have your daylilies... I was so involved talking I didn't grab any plant unless someone told me it was for me... I know I mentioned I wanted stela d'oros and Lynda just gave me a bag!!! and Pirl sent me a hosta too... which I have planted already... so cute... I love hostas... and of course I still have my rose Julia Child to plant.... oh I can't wait...
I planted 3 hostas yesterday, and moved some of my plants around... is that too late to plant Bleeding hearts seeds??? will they survive the winter???
I got some of your daylilies. The "mystery" ones so I will see what shows up and take pictures. I got some various hostas and asclepias seedlings and a couple of iris.
Not too bad in return for a cheesecake.
Kassia, I am mailing the recipe to you. should have it in a couple of days.
Martha
Kassia - plant the bleeding heart seeds right away. They should start growing - I have babies all over under my plant that just sprout up in the leaves without even rooting in the ground. The plants will die off for the winter and then come back in spring. You could even put them in your woods - they like shade.
I'm still in Waltham and very much enjoying the warmer weather. :-)
dave
10 or 15 more degrees and you'll feel right at home Dave!
Kassia I had a great time thank you for all the fun! your generous and loving nature is so special as I told you before you are a keeper please come by and see me soon
thanks again laurawege
