Anyone has any idea on this? Seeds sown back 3 months ago have not germinated yet. Any special treatments?
Poppysue- please help.
Thanks,

Wanted: Info On Germinating Kiss Me Over the Garden Gate
my book has little info-Propagation-sow seeds in coldframe in spring/divide in spring or autumn.
Grows in any moist soil in full sun or partial shade
polygonum orientale- prince feathers or princess
i have started outside in spring(after frost)inside 4-6weeks
Last year I planted them in a flat; sealed it in a zip lock bag; and stuck it out on my porch for a couple of weeks. It germinated pretty quickly when I brought it indoors. They grow fast so it doesn't need to be started too early. Of course in Florida there's no such thing as too early!
I guess I'll have to give it another try.
THanks everyone!
Tim: They need cold treatment first. If you have room sow some in a container in moist medium, put container in plastic bag and stick in refrigerator for a couple of weeks, even up to a month and then bring out and they should start to sprout. Here in the north we can just put the covered container outside. Debby
THanks Debby! I'll give that a try.
