I have a nice big balcony I have most of my plants on and need a suggestion for another one. I am looking for a plant or flower, preferably with a little height, that has yellow flowers. I like something that blooms frequently. I live in Vancouver so the climate is pretty wet, not too warm most of the time, I think zone 7B or 8, so not hot in summer, but cold, although rarely freezing in winter. I can bring it in if it's too cold.
Any ideas out there?

maybe marigolds, daisies, or if you really want height sunflowers? I think they have miniature sunflowers, not sure....just a thought!

I like Coreopsis 'Moonbeam', it blooms for quite a long time. There are several other yellow cultivars of Coreopsis too if you want a slightly different shade of yellow.
I LOVE, love love gerbera daisies. They would be hardy enough to survive you winters, because I had one come back at my house. I am in the most Southestest part of Canada. But we, unfortunately get some pretty BRR crisp winters. They are available in a rainbow of fruit flavours. mostly Yellow, white, pinks oranges, reds. Did I miss a piece of the rainbow? Yes. they don't come in blues or purples.

Dahlberg Daisy likes cool weather see them here> http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/220/index.html
They are an annual, but, with good waterings and some feritlizer they bloom for months. The are more mounding than trailing, but the do spread. You can start them from seed, but, starter plants are faster.
How about viola?
