Have the rates increased also b/c priority now arrives in one day?? Instead of 3-4 days like before? Or is it the same?
And, are there two flat rate prices? What are they.
Thanks for clearing this up!
USPS Priority Rates
Micha, $8.95 for a shirt type box that opens at the ends.(hateful to use) and the other flat rate is $4?? and it is now a large envelope.
Still takes 3 days.
I mean the priority flat rate for packages. I know there's two size options, do they cost the same?
Flat rate 8.95 and 4.??, but the smaller one is not a carton any more it is a large envelope.
There is a Priority flat rate box that's shaped like a shoe box, but not quite as big.

This is the site I check to get postage info.
Sorry, I was at the postoffice yesterday to pick up boxes and was passing on what they told me.
Thanks for the link, checked it out and found they do have a smaller box. Thats what I wanted yesterday..
We have a small PO and they rarely have more than a couple of boxes in stock. Usually they are out of the ones I want so I order them online from the USPO site. You have to get a whole case and it is only Priority Mail, but the boxes and the delivery are free. I have a whole selection in the attic and my neighbors know I usually have the size they need too. LOL
sounds good to me.I have been trying to get rid of extras,so I dont leave such a mess for my kids. But I do forget that more than I remember my promise to myself.
Oriole, that's funny we are doing the same thing here. I don't want my kids to have to dispose of stuff I should have gotten rid of years earlier. My parents came up through the depression and everything they had was so precious to them and, to a lesser degree, it is to me also. My kids however have no interest in Grandma's good china or much else. I keep telling myself that is a good thing as perhaps, their lives won't be a cluttered as mine.
Same here. Every time I take care of settling up a estate I come home with some of the clutter.I never want to pitch a thing. If someone does need something, I cant find it.
The Flat Rate Envelope is $4.60, there are two different size Flat rate boxes, they are both $8.95. Hope that helps!!
Bill
