Theres TONS of these little caterpillar-like bugs on my rosebushes. They were here when we moved in, so I don't have much experience with them. They are eating the leaves. Are they okay to leave alone or should I spray with something? My mom suggested dish soap and water.
Caterpillar-like bugs on my rosebush leaves!
Hi rprovost, sounds nasty, I follow the rule that if it's a caterpiller like thing, they will munch my plants, so get rid, I either pick them off, but as you say, you have tons, so before you spray, would a blast from the garden hose help, if the leaves are being eaten these bugs can strip the plant in no time, and your Roses could be lost, unless I see a pic of what caterpiller it is, it is hard to identify the real damage they do, would some of the neighbours know, as I feel sure it aint just your garden that has them in that kind of numbers, sorry I cant help you further, but if you dont clear them soon they will be butterfly's or moths before you know it and the cycle will begin all over again. WeeNel.
