Sunday June 24 RU...

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

You guys! Now you've gone and done it - you've confused THE Dave. Are you proud of yourselves? Huh, huh? By the way - who is bringing the donuts?

Marlborough, MA(Zone 5b)

DONUTS - DONUTS!!!!!
Did I hear donuts?
I never met a donut I didn't like.
Chuck

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

We really owe our Dave an apology, what with chatting away about all sorts of stuff but how much we are actually looking forward .............TO SEE HIM IN FRAMINGHAM, MASSACHSETTS, JUNE 24 at Cassia's home. :-)))))

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Do I hear trumpets sounding??

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

yes you do!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I believe Dave has officially attained rock star status!! The only other person I can think of who has earned the coveted 'The' before his first name is The Donald. Dave, as one 'The' to another, maybe you can give him a call and see if he'll throw some funding your way!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

......or "The King" as in Elvis. Does Dave play guitar? Dave has us! Who could want anything more?

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

not me pirl,

New Hampshire, NH(Zone 5b)

Hello all,

I don't post a whole lot on this forum, but I'd love to go to an RU. I will check out my schedule. When do you need a firm answer?

Thanks

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Patti, Flo's is the old red building that always has a crowd around it?
What town is Surry Gardens in?

Maria, I thought I was "our Dave" :(

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I'm sure it is "our Dave".

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

sorry Dave, well you are our one and only from CT, :-)))

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Apparently it's the word that comes before 'Dave' that matters. 'The' or 'Our'. This is very confusing.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

"The Our Dave". Is that better?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Is that a prayer??

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Close. Very close.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

There is another David from CT on DG.
Dave (NOT THE Dave)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Well there's really only one Dave on this Forum. (Awwwwww).

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Would that be 'The David'??

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Thanks! And you can be "THE Victor" or "Our Victor". Take your pick.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'll just make sure there are no other Victors!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Don't want to share the spoils??

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ha - good one.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

CTbutNTDaveDave, yep the red shack with one hot dog steamer and a pop re-frig and some hot onion relish (known as sauce) and a shaker of celery salt and a long long line always. Surry Gardens is in Surry Me, go figure. Patti http://gardens.com/go/view/2301/

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Thank you!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Dave47 - I agree... you are OUR DAVE... the one and only!!!!! and we also have THE AL -(what is that we call him last year ??? the tuber??something!!!!)
you guys ARE VERY UNIQUE.... I just said THE Dave because that's what some folks called him in San Diego...

anyway, how about if we do the RU from 1-7? this way nobody has to leave their home way too early and there will be enough time for fun.... you guys let me know if you want early than that...

I will edit the first post with the food ... just trying to plan the food too.... FOOD is really important too...

DID I TELL YOU GUYS HOW EXCITED I AM THAT I WILL GET TO MEET ALL OF YOU???

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

let me know what you guys are bringing so I can add to the list and figure out things!!!!

thanks everyone...

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Kassia, I have three camping chairs and some folding chairs to bring. They're comfy enough for an afternoon. Gee, I hope we have nice weather. As for food, I'm a terrible cook, but I'll bring whatever you need. I can't wait too!

Harper

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

I have a mini picnic table for 4 I can bring. And a rather faded umbrella.

Oviedo, FL(Zone 9b)

I have two square card tables and some resin lawn chairs. Not a problem to bring because I drive a mini van that folds down flat in the back. All the better to buy plants with!
Martha

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I have 5 of those chairs that fold into a bag. I will bring whatever you want: drinks, stuffed breads, you name it.
Kassia, I know I'm not THE Dave. (I used to sign my posts Dave (not THE dave) all the time a year or so ago.
Awesome that he would take the time to visit us.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Are you kidding, Dave47??? The one that should be in awe is The Dave - he gets to meet some of the coolest, wittiest gardeners in the nation! I bet he can hardly wait (lol).

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

AYankeeCat will bring hummus and pita bread - and blackberry seedlings.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

I will bring something to eat - and possibly some wallflower seedlings. :-)

Providence, RI(Zone 6a)

Kassia, I haven't been keeping up with the board lately and just caught wind of this thread (because Dave dmailed me!) ~ I don't think I can make this one (scheduling conflict, darn...), but will if anything changes. This sounds like great fun!!!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

hhmmm... maybe I can come ... only to Framingham? .... I'll be back from my "vacation" on Friday... and meeting The Dave is in honor outranked only by meeting Our Dave. I don't know what I can bring or anything... I know - my wheelchair!

tra la la, I can come too!

I would LOVE to come!!!

What do we need most in terms of food- and is there a time set? Later would be better for those of us who have to drive a little bit; I don't think it will take me longer than 1 hour.

-Melissa (Jax4ever)- I would love to bring Jax himself, but he doesn't travel well, being a cat.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Just had D-mail, of course I will come, I think I already posted that I will with my daughter driving and will bring some cookies and perhaps a plant too but I need to know the address otherwise we will never get there, lol

Maria

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)
