Morning Glories 2007 #05

Netcong, NJ(Zone 5b)

Here's where we were on Morning Glories 2007 #04
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/729625/

The attached photo is from a plant that QueenB had gotten last season but the armadillos got to it before it could produce any seed...

The fine multi-colored interblending striations are very rarely seen...

Maybe one of us will get lucky and get another like this one...

TTY,...

Here is JMG 'Shikanoko' seedlings from Komeri eBay seeds. Nice variegation even in the cotyledons of one of them.

Here are 4 JMGs from Komeri eBay seeds marketed as 'Komeri Superb Mix'.

#1 looks just like Q0751 type growth.

#2, #3 and #4 are larger but show a tendency to be bushier rather than vine-like.

Here are the cool looking leaves of JMG 'Ki Chirimen Rinpunba Murasaki Daizaki' in the next 2 images. I like the yellow green color of the plant too.

Here's a picture of a second plant of JMG 'Ki Chirimen Rinpunba Murasaki Daizaki'.

Lastly, here are the leaves of JMG 'Ki Chirimenba Shiroji Murasaki Fukkake Shibori Daizaki'. The leaves are very interesting to see, so different in form.

Ron,
That is a really goodlooking flower. Are the dark lines on the primary folds? The lines are not as wide as on other MGs. Almost look like evely drawn lines (meaning not wider towards the bottom of the lines).

Just got back from our trip and will up load some photos later today.. a couple of things bloomed while we were gone, so don't know what they looked like.. also, I found a couple of Convolvulacea plants at the Lowes in Tucson that I'll post, one is Morning Glory Bush, but there is another one that is in one of the boxes that I can't get to till the path is clear...workman are outside trying to clear the area and put gates in, so I'm stuck inside for awhile.

Joseph, those are neat looking plants. I'm glad I'm not the only one that likes that type of diversity..lol. ((weirdness))

Talking about weird, I bought several cactus on this trip to replace all the stuff that froze when we moved.. got some neat stuff and a giant turtle almost as big as our kitchen table..lol maybe I'll put an MG on top of it so that I can take a photo and post it here.

Scarlett Ohara dressed in light Pink and with a reversed tube too. There are two vines in this pot that I will have to separate to see if one is pink. The first flowers were darker red and then now some are lighter pink..

Is it common for blue silk to have white flowers? Looking at them, though, it looks as if there is a faint blue tint in it . . . very nice flowers, Gourd!

another unknown, I will check the pot for the label, but it is not what it says.

Alot of the flowers are starting to be repeats of the same, so I won't be posting more of the duplicates in the future unless you all want them. Also, I missed some of the blooms on a couple of new ones while I was gone, so maybe this week we'll get some more flowers.

Thank you Syrumani,
No, the flower on Blue Silk should not be white, but the seeds most likely got mixed up (all the seeds that went into this pot were tan colored).

Here is one that looks split petalled where you can see the tint of blue.. I'll post the full flower for this morning on Blue Silk.

This is Blue Silk, I was going to wait for a better quality flower to bloom before posting a photo, but ... you can get the idea of the tint on this one. This and the White appear to be entirely different flowers I think.., maybe they are related..

I posted on the #4 instead of the #5 thread. I`m still tired from the trip to the LA Round Up. I`m enjoying all the new pics. Here is one more of a kikyo. This is the one Arlan likes.

G`night all. Karen
