June flowers Are Busting Out All Over - page 2

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

this is the bee-hind of a huge bumble bee. I watched it for a while very systematically collecting pollen from each flower on the weigela. there were a number of other bees that were zipping in and out hitting the blossoms randomly. I just bet this guy gets some kind of award every year ;0)

Oh Jan, your gardens must be lovely this year! I'm so happy your reaping your rewards. Really glad you posted the photo of Graham Thomas, now I know what im looking forward to. Yippee!! I Love yellow rose's. I must confess though, that I am smitten with that Champange Cocktail, it's beautiful.

Fort Edward, NY(Zone 5a)

Wow Victor, Prairie Princess sure is a stunner. All the flowers sure look lovely at nighttime. They are gorgeous in the daytime of course, but it seems like the night brings out details you don't notice in the daytime....

Grampapa- Can't take my eyes off of Graham Thomas, and chasing rainbows sure is a stunner.

Thanks all for showing these gorgeous pics!!!

Thanks Dawn and you're exactly right. Night brings out details you just cannot see during the day. And Prairie Princess looks pretty darn nice during the day as well!

Very nice Jan. Looks like your garden is quite alive right now!

Gram, I think that bee is kind of anal.

Now, what were you saying about bad jokes?! Just because you have so many beautiful roses, do you think you can start picking on me?

Harper, I didn't mean my comment to sound cutting. No need to apologize! In fact I have a house full of people that would consider you lucky for missing my "jokes"

Pixie, absolutely gorgeous!

Hey, I'm so jealous of all the great pics. I have such a LONG way to go since we've only been here 2 1/2 years. Does anyone have tall garden phlox blooming yet? Mine look great but no flowers, what do you think's the problem?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Here's some tall garden phlox, it statred blooming a few days ago here.

Dave - did you ever say what that huge vine was that's climbing your tree??

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

No

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Okay - just wanted to be sure.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I call it VA creeper but I'm not sure it really is. It runs wild around here.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That was my guess. Five leaves?

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Yes.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's most likely it then. It's all over around here too.
