Good job Eleanor and beautiful Clematis!

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

my clematis is done :(. I have buds on my morning glory though :)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Clematis have not bloomed here yet and the morning glories are just starting to vine.....it will be a while before I see blooms on them. Heck, my Iris aren't even done yet!

I think these are Turk's Cap Lillies. They are tiny but make up for their size in color. The first of my lillies to bloom.

Yank,
Jack in the pulpit and Lady Slippers bring back so many fond memories from my childhood. They grew wild everywhere at our camp when I was a kid.
The Turk's Cap are lovely and so vibrant, and the rose is exquisite! Do you know the name? If not, thats OK....half the time I don't know the name or can't remember. Never thought of it as important until I came to DG and everyone else knows what they've got but me!

Eleanor, I won't be too rough on him for at least 6 months with this surgery. But it also means my plants are safe this season! LOL

Way to go Eleanor - we'll call you Threadmaster now! Clematis looks nice but where does that gate lead???

Cat I have many blooms on my Blackberries as well. Last year was the first year so I didn't have too many to enjoy. Looking forward to this year. My son loves them as well. Doubt we'll be freezing any!

The gate used to lead into the backyard. Our yard was fenced in when the kids were little because the canal is behind us. When we took down the fence I saved the gate cause I thought I could use it somewhere - makes a good trellis for the clematis!! Now it just leads to the side of my storage shed!!!!! Eleanor

Hard to tell in this shot but the spent blooms on the Physocarpus echo the Lilies nicely.

Unknown Rose - I believe it's a native.

Wow! Your lilies are way ahead of mine. See pic.

Victor, this spring I bought several new clematis: Asao, Blue Angel, Dawn, Ernest Markham, Haku Ookan, Multi-Blue, Nelly Moser, Royalty, Special Occasion and Venosa Violacea

I already have: Jackmanii, Niobe, The President and Sweet Autumn.

I think that's enough for a while.

You chose some nice ones! I thought I had enough for a while last year. Ha! Bought many more this year. As I said a few times, this year my addiction has been Clematis and Japanese Maples. And of course, Catherine Zeta Jones.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

'Patricia Ann Fretwell' is lovely even if it isn't a double! I wish that rose was native in my yard!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It wasn't in my yard. It was given to me by a contractor friend who got it from a customer. It's gorgeous and has a nice subtle fragrance. Only downer is that it does not re-bloom and has a bit of a crazy droopy habit. You have to secure it.
