Best Thing/Worse Thing and What did I learn today? Part 5

Betty my mom`s husband was also Ukrainian, she is not but anyway he got transfered to California, he was an air traffic controler. We moved when I was 11. they hated Ohio and they are antisocial so never went back. We have family on both sides there and in Pennsylvania and New York too. Yes Toronto is where my aunt lives.

I hate when drunks want all their neighbors to hear their party music too. Here it is Mariache Music. lol

Well taking a neighbors little boy for a swim at my son's..must change..so grubby from gardening..arms all scratched from cutting metal fencing...thanks goodness..tomorrow is Monday and I'll go to work for a rest..

yes I will ask Dad if he knows, he doesn`t talk to her much.

Well, very quiet this weekend, must be good weekend for everyone...
Wonder...is that storm they were showing on tv today in your area..and was that ship that is beached nearby???

Best thing that happened to me today was getting everything I wanted to do accomplished and more....
Worse thing...had felt my invitation to MIL and SIL for supper had been rejected and they hadn't the decency to call to say they would not come... ..I cooked off and on all aft. and I don't do cooking but just felt like cooking today...at 5:30 I decided to eat on my own as my guests had not arrived..manners dictate you call a person if you either don't want to accept their invitation or if somethings come up...call ....that's a given....

Took neighbor and her grandson to my son and DIL's for a swim and lo and behold there was my MIL and SIL having supper.....
She had mistaken me for her other DIL and had gone 3 times to find no one at home at BIL's...so hungry and rejected they decided to go my my son's for supper....lol...sooo quite a deal....

What did I learn????? Should be easy..when you invite someone over for lunch or supper make sure you tell them who you are!!!!

I am so rolling now. sorry but it is funny in a very sad way.

This has not been a very good day for me, so I will check in tomorrow.

Wanted to let you know few things, My Young friend went on a vacation w/folks-they rebonded and had a great time-I am so happy fo rher, she looks good, sounds happy and is in a good state of mind. Thank you for asking 'bout her,. I had the most incredible experience at the MWRU! Loved every minute.I'll be writting our next chapter tomorrow ok? ...Another thing is, I Love Love, your Prints!!! betty, omg it was just like it was back in the early 80's
and i couldnt sit still at all, opened with the outlaws then marshall tucker then charlie daniels oh when charlie daniels picked up the fiddle that was the end... lol out i came from my chair the rest of the concert, it was a good 4 hours of some good country music,

but where they had the concert geeez they know how to get you!! a tee shirt 30.00 oh it gets better just before the last act i decided all the lights and excitement i wanted to get a beer how simple could that be arrrrrrrrrrrrrr no corona lite but they had regular oh but only the big one i am embarassed to admit i spent it 12.00 for a beer, honestly what is the world comming to. have a good evening, off tomorrow need rest from all the excitement liz

Hi all - Liz, I have a pair of Mallards that visit my yard each day and they always land on my roof or my neioghbor's roof first to make sure the coast is clear. The funny thing is, our roofs are pitched so the ducks have to land right on the peak or slide down one side or the other. The first time I saw it, I did a double take too cause I'd never seen a duck of all things land on a roof!

I haven't post for a week so let's see if I can catch up.

I started my new class Wed night - Intro to Plants, which is basically Botony. It's very interesting. After this class, I want to take the Fall Woody Plants course. There are 5 woody plant courses I will have to take. Then I will get into the graphics of landscaping which I've heard is the harder part. I hope to be done in 2-3 yrs (night classes) and then I will be a Landscaper Designer.

The weekend was busy. DH & DS went on their semi-annual 'father/son' camping trip so it was just me and DD and 10 week old Murphy (in reality, it was just me and Murphy!). He was high maintenance boy this weekend. He started digging anywhere he could get to and the dirt would just mat up in his think fur. He loves laying in my phlox around my tree, then grabbing it and playing keep-a-way. he is at his most wound up at 5:30 AM. That's when he wants to PLAY BIG TIME and of course, all I wanted to do was go back to sleep. This is when I REALLY missed DH! The 5:30 am shift is his. I was pooped!

We took Murphy up to Pet Smart to get him a couple of new toys and then to Lowes so I could get a few things. While at Lowes, we saw another woman with a Golden puppy in her cart too so I asked how old, is he from around here...Well, it turned out to be Murphy's brother!!! I couldn't believe it! This lady was fostering him for Jackie (the breeder). I think they smelled each other and realized "hey, I remember that smell". They were both so cute! I have new pics of Murphy. I will try and post them later tonight. DS has his first play-off game tonight. If they win, they play Sat for the championship.

So DH & DS got back around lunch time yesterday (YEA!) and I was finally able to get out in my garden!

I'll do a best/worst. learned for the entire wekend:

Best: spending time with my daughter, just the two fo us.

Worst: Not having DH around to waer the puppy out!

Learned: that you HAVE to hang on the a puppy's leash when they are in a cart! Murphy decided to jump out of the Lowes cart and I thought for sure he had cracked his skull! I still feel sick thinking about it!

I'm back at work this morning and dead tired! It was so hard getting out of bed!

Oh, Betty, how sweet of you to ask about Ti Wi Li!

She is doing just fine, we're guessing she just had a case
of the late spring blahs. She is back to being her old self,
and now that we have a new rug in the living room, she thinks
it belongs to her. She stays in a lot now. :-)

Yes I went to see the Cher Final Tour that lasted 3 years lol and Beers at the staples center were $12 too. The concert was like a big Vegas Act. It was a sentimental thing for us from our childhood, sonny and cher ya know. We sat in a very colorful and flamboyant all male section. I felt like a freak. Doctor Phil was there and DH saw him at the restroom.

I`m having a crap day, I won`t even whine about. Learning nothing but more patience . I`m not good at either.

Well good evening everyone...first, I'll give you a challenge...guess what I did all day?

Now for my report...

Best thing...the other day I had trouble with car and my cell just wasn't working...today I came home and my 'earthly angels' (now some don't agree) but they are mine...dropped this off on kitchen counter with a note...'4-u and a new telephone number...imagine..I'm just so lucky, don't know what I did to deserve such caring/loving friends but I just called and said thank you...not only the cel but a monthly plan they will pay each month for me..told them I can't accept it but they said 'a gift's a gift' sooo I'll enjoy and I'm happy/happy

Worse thing...everyone plays with Sailor..she's a border collie and of course lives with a ball in her mouth..she's around 8 or 9..got her from a shelter as she had been abused..must have been about 3 when she came to me..anyway..she plays with the girls/guys who are here painting on Mondays and they all take turns giving her treats (a no/no) but they still do, and play with her..then her old hip is sore..so guess who went pee/pee on the rug..so I took out the rug cleaner machine and just cleaned the rug..not her fault old girl..maybe that's what I'll do in a few years..and sure hope no one gives me h...l.....lol

What did I learn today...that you can laugh at yourself..was telling boss/SIL, niece and friends what happened yesterday with MIL/SIL invitation to supper...all thought it was more than amusing.....lol

I like them natural not foofy. You thought you had the raw end of the stick? Your other poor sil had company for dinner they didn`t expect to have. lol You inlaws had it the best, everyone trying to feed them. It could have been one of those dinners where you go to a different house for each course of a meal. lol next time.

No answers and they did not call me back so I guess I`ll have to schedule an appointment for sooner or get my other doctor, my primary to get the results if possible.

Best: Talked with a friend for a bit, she will be moving soon so not sure how well we weill keep in touch after that. She's an old friend, we'll always meet up. DD has her first loose tooth...awwww....

Worst: Something I got for Father's Day still hasn't arrived..I'm so impatient...lol

Learned: I learn this over and over but people really do grow up fast!

Yes I know, several pastors I know said , never pray for patience.

Ahhh Sophie is a laberdoodle...tell her she is almost as pretty as her special name (which was also my grandmothers name) tell her to study hard in puppy school and maybe she'll get a party when she gets out.

Ohh Zapita CAN NOT see that picture! She'll want a pool...we told her last year that puppies melted if they got wet so she REALLY didn't want a pool...she hasn't figured out we lied yet. I can see her making me stay outside in the hot sun (me in a bathing suit is just against the fat fashion rules!) and pushing her around on a raft for hours as she frolics in a pool the spoiled pooch!

Adorable. ok heres my Corbin on the side of the house that is getting landscaped if they ever finish.

this is my old lady Koala, My cat actually, she is so sloof toward us but once in a while, all of a sudden she wants love and fussing over her and she will get a burst of energy, run over throw a toy in the air and act like she wants to play, then she`s over it as quickly as it started. She will come to get a pet twice a week or to kick me out of this chair. I love her.

Im getting along. thankyou for your prayers, support and friendship.
The funeral is tomorrow so i just have to get through that. I am NOT looking forward to being with my brothers and sisters i can tell you. I am quite anxious but thats another story.

They sent my DD home! i cant believe it. so she has to wait 5 weeks for the surgery. the pain is managed at the moment.

i am somewhat under the weather at the moment which i guess is no surprise. my ear hurts and my... well not my throat but it seems my wind pipe as it only hurts when i cough or sneeze! weird huh? other than that i am ok. I have been working hard at eating healthy and walking and this week it paid off with a 7lb loss! im very happy with that but more importantly happy with myself in general.

Leoplod ( my ever growing puppy) is a lean, mean, peeing machine! argghhhhh he drives me crazy! and he's teething. But I love him all the same. Carpet can be cleaned and cords replaced but companionship and comfort is without a price.

Rylie my new GS is doing well. He is putting on an average of 1lb a fortnight!! lil porky man! he is cute and has that wonderful smell that only new borns can have.

Worst: have a UTI and went to the doc for a Rx - this too shal pass

Learned: finally learned to remember monday is garbage night! They come @ like 6 am so there is no way I could get it out on Tuesday.

Morning! Gotta get ready for work soon! Haven't had much to say but have read all and probably forgotten most of it. But you all have been busy.

Worse thing:::: one of my white fish is missing! Was gone sunday morning and no sign of it. Nothing disturbed around the pond either. I hate to go out and look now.

Best thing:::: got my perennials planted. Still have some annuals but will keep them for backups.

What did I learn::::I can't think of anything off hand. If I don't have a to do list I forget to do some of the simpilest things.
