I'm pretty new at gardening. I planted this one last year, and was amazed when the flowers started to appear a few days ago. I'd like to get more, but I'm don't know what it is. Thanks to anyone who can help me.
Do you know what this is?
I'll probably forget to come back here, and I can't see the small photo so well, but I wonder if the lovely purple blooms aren't a clematis. Do you see how it seems to be climbing up the fence? Can't say for sure, but I do understand why you'd want more!
I agree, I think it looks like a Clematis. I don't grow them though so I have no idea which one.
Here are the ones from Plant Files if you want to look through and see if one looks like yours

If they grew in the tropics, I would grow em. They are a well behaved vine.
chrissy100, both clematis and windflowers are Ranunculaceae, they have many things in common, including the shape of their flowers.
We have morning glories>
No doubt about it... definitely clematis. If you want more, they come in tons of colours and flower types.
Thank you, momo. I just viewed your pictures. Very nice...

clematis! heres a link to another thread that talks about caring. I know you want to have the plants "Feet in the shade and head in the sun"
How pretty! I want one. Of course, I never met a flower I didn't want.
