Before I read the name of this flower, I thought it was a peony but it is really a peony-flowered tulip with huge red flowers. If you are wondering what is the cultivar of this, I will tell you, it is 'Miranda'.
Just sharing photo of this TULIP.
Hi cncy in Russia, these look good enough to eat, they are fab, ofcourse we know we cant eat Tulips, they look so healthy, do you leave them in the ground all winter OR do you plant and lift them when the flowers fade, I guess it gets really cold in your winters Eh, happy gardening to you over there. WeeNel.
That is just beautiful!!
csny - what glorious tulips! Welcome to DG! I'm sure you have been welcomed by others before now, but I had to add mine. I just love this site because we get to talk to people from so very many places all over this little ball of mud. And I am so glad to see you posting these beautiful flowers, because - unfortunately most Americans have a very dark and gloomy picture of Russia in their heads. This will help to bannish that image and show the beauty to be found. Post more!
