mimossa "silk" tree, pretty blooms but nasty seed pods!

Lake Isabella, CA

does anyone know of a folar spray that will stop my tree from producing seed pods? ive heard there are sprays out there that will stop "fruit set"

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

There are sprays out there, but they only work on certain specific trees and unfortunately I don't believe they will work on mimosas (they wouldn't be quite the invasive pest that they are if you could spray something on them to keep them from making seeds!)

thats kinda what i figured... :( thanks for your thoughts.. :)

Sorry to say but by making seeds/pods, that is what nature wants the tree to do, that's like someone saying to women, you cant have babies, because they are noisey, I dont know the size of the tree or even if you like the tree, but the answer might be to get out and nip all the dead flowers off before they set seeds, Or get rid of the tree all together and plant one that is less hassle for you. that is drastic measures I know, but you aint going to change nature that easy, wish we could and I would have no weeding to do, BUT no seeds to plant either, wish you luck, WeeNel.
