This skillfully made hole has appeared atop a metal cupola on my garage. It is not deep, but may have a screenlike material under the structure. Squirrel? Woodpecker? Bat? It's high up, so is a larger hole than it appears -- much larger than any bird hole I've seen before. We live in the country, so anything's possible!
