I have a wonderful climbing rosebush. It climbs very high every year, but it never blooms. Any suggestions. Does Gibberellic Acid stimulate flowering (or just growth-which I don't need). Is there something else that helps flowering? Thanks, Karen S
Floweringhormones?
Try posting this on the Rose forum, lots of experts there and they'll know for sure.
GA tends to stimulate growth more than anything else. You might try some bloom buster which people swear by to get things to flower. You want to stay away from any food with lots of nitrogen in it.

What is the rose? Do you cut it down every year? Depending on the variety, if you cut it down every year, you are cutting the canes that will flower. Especially in old garden roses, the second and third year canes are those that support flowering.
Where do you get Bloom Buster? Thanks, Karen
I'm sure you can get it where they sell other fertilizer.
